Nimhneach is an open club, held in licensed premises and if your post had gone uncorrected, could have led to a lot of confusion, with people turning up expecting a sexual side to it.
Libertine is a private, invitation only, event, held on private premises...totally different. |

Nimhneach is good of there is a good crowd. It's for people who like bdsm or fetish. As people have said there is a no sex rule at nimhneach. So if you're looking for swinging, you can't do it at the club, that doesn't mean you can't meet people there to bring back to a hotel etc. But mostly you'll find that the people are not looking for sex, just my opinion. |

for anyone interested in libertine , this club is held in the venue and has a strict admission policy , you wont be able to attend without first being vetted and vouched for by another community member on the bdsm scene . Alcohol is rarely consumed at libertine and this club is not for the faint hearted ./gawkers/ curious types, more information available on the well known fetish site . There is no comparison between Nimh and Libertine . |

Libertine is very elitest, or they think they are and unless you brown nose "the names", you probably won't get far. They set the rules, appoint the monitors and their most recent upset, was when one of their monitors was outed for a sexual assault, on another well known Dublin "name".
It's like everything in Ireland, run by a clique, for personal gratification, not for the good of all.
At least Nimhneach is authentic and open to everyone? Although the cliques also attend it..... |

As quasi regulars to both events it's save to say there are some very very wrong conceptions and opinions expressed here...
Nimh is a fetish night, think of it as a m&g with a knobby dress code and some mild bdsm play, libertine is largely the same with a more relaxed dress code but with less rules and more activity, though not a swingers club by any means....
To consider either as extreme, elite or sex clubs is at best misguided and generally ill informed / just wrong |

Think that describes it perfectly, it's splitting hairs, over a choice of words, I wasn't arguing. As long as people are aware that it's their club, on their terms, so not open to everyone and subject to bias from existing friendships between groups of people, that's fine.
Nimhneach, at least, doesn't display that sort of bias but watch out that you don't actually use any of the props when "the names" are looking to use them. You'll soon spot the cliques there too |
