How come people feel the need to become abusive when they get rejected? Why can they nit just take it on the chin and move on.. Instead they'll slag you and become abusive saying how horrible you are because they got rejected?

The truth is that nobody likes rejection. No matter how emotionally secure you are, it affects you. Some people it affects to the point that they need to lash out. Those people shouldn't be here, because rejection is a major part of this process and is inevitable for everyone.

That would be completely subjective though, what one person intends as a joke, another could take as offensive. I would choose to believe it's mostly done in good humour.

I would be of the opinion though, that if you're going to be condescending, you should at least be accurate.

Though I'm sure you know far more than me about subtle bullying. ....if you choose to call her a grammar Nazi, go right ahead. As for knowing far more than you about subtle bullying, I know I don't like any sort of bullying and don't indulge in it. I have no idea what you know. Oh I wasn't aiming that at anyone, I don't know anyone's relationships with each other to know the intent. I just know from my own experience if someone comes at me I usually just correct their grammar instead of getting personal cause I shy from confrontation. Petty I know.
