So many of my friends are leaving fabs because all the weirdo and creepy msg they getting and most are girls so sad I left fabs for a week in back and have to say I didn't miss much. Hope fabs will get better  |

 . Not great didn't realise anyone had left. I don't get much nasty mail here or maybe have grown a thick skin but still not nice to hear. Hopefully the girls are just having a break, hard to do anything with school holidays. Welcome back anyway |

What you have to remember is every nasty mail anyone gets its followed by another mail from someone that's a decent mail..sometimes it does get a bit much, what amazes me is the constant bitching and nip picking...do these people not realize how juvenile and pathetic it looks.....some things need to change on this site cause some people have way too much times on there hands worrying about others people's profiles..  |

Fab is only a conduit for securing fun - it's not fun in itself - unless you're one of the multitude who gauge level of fun with number of inane status updates posted. We're finding more and more people identify a group of swingers they're comfortable with and engage directly with them rather than through fab. There's nothing wrong with using fab for a bit of craic but I'd hate to see it turn into a social networking site.
I do agree that the m&gscene has got very stale however - one night is very like the next in terms of faces, activity etc. I dunno how that can be fixed however - there's a small number of swingers especially up here so a lack of "new blood" tends to be very noticeable when out.
Seems a lot better down south but I put that down to their much greater number of participants !!

I'm leaving because its too hard to get genuine ppl to meet...there's an imbalance...too much time spent running up very long garden paths....
...difficult to correlate the stories about creeps, and my own experience of being very much kept at arms length at times... |

We're still in the summer break ...
Peeps cum and go for all sorts of reasons. It's not for the faint hearted here, but there are ways and means to reduce crap to a minimal extent. You have to make fab working for you as it's just a means. |

You make a fair point.
To me it seems like a vicious circle. To go to most socials you have to be meet verified. Most newcomers are finding it hard to get meet verified because the more experienced of us are wary of newcomers because of the trolls and timewasters integrating themselves into that group. if you've no newly verified members, then you don't get new blood at socials.
Then you have the subset of fab who don't see the need to go to socials at all, and don't integrate with that side of it. preferring to organise by themselves.
But I think swinging is and of itself social networking, at least for a single guy. You have to get out there and network, and be social. It's whats worked for me anyway.
My theory as to why there seems to be so much bulshit this summer is this: It's summer, there's free time, certain people (or perhaps a certain age group) are bored. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the trolls, timewasters and abusers here are schoolkids on break, or possibly adults with the mental age of same. Once school or college starts hopefully we'll see that die down.

I can relate. I see so many complaining saying there's no one "real" here or "so many timewasters" yet for people like myself who are legit, and dare I say it "genuine" sometimes we still have to chase, chase, chase.
I'm not saying I'm entitled to meets but for those of you who think we're not here I say,

Had an abusive mail last ngt but he didnt get the better of me . Sad that this same guy seemed to know alot abt me was told by another guy here . But im way to long in the tooth to take notice and he finally gave up and he blocked me  |

Interesting read guys. We're only new but already was having doubts about here. Do agree about the summer as we ourselves are limited to seeing or traveling so hopefully in a couple of weeks that will change. What we have noticed is that it's hard for verified people to take us seriously . We're looking for bi lady's . We Find lady's who match what were looking for. We seem to match what there after. Send them a polite mail and either the mail isn't opened or it is but no reply. Now a big thanks to the few who have responded to either say welcome but not interested or we are interested but not now. Anyway we'll stick it out and any advice would be grateful.
