"Once he beats that cheat Gatlin!
Would sicken me if he got it think the beast will take 2nd though

Yeah, unless Bolt pulls a muscle or hamstring... otherwise the best Gatlin can hope for is silver. |

Gatlin looked like he was giving it his all in his semi while Bolt was just doing what was needed. Bolt can take it up a pace and I expect him to win it but you just never know. |

I hope so 'cause I need to go to bed
Me too but I'm too wired from copious amounts of red bull"
Well BBC1 is still showing coverage and it's all about Bolt at the moment. |

Sure anyone can run for 10 seconds. What's your point?
He's a sprinter, not a long distance runner and he absolutely destroys all his competition with ease and with style. There's a reason the whole world knows who he is and why there are people with no interest in athletics who will stay up late at night to watch him perform. |

Was there ever any doubt?
What a legend!!
Pity the English lad. What a kick in the nuts."
Yeah he was unlucky. Another meter or 2 and he might have done it. Just like my fellow Waterfordian Thomas Barr earlier in the 400 hurdles. |

Really? Missed that. If Bolt ain't at the next Olympics these key events going to be so boring. He's not just a legend but a great personality! |

Mens 4x100 meter relay final tonight at 2.35. Possibly, and most likely, the last time we will see Usain Bolt perform in the Olympic Games, going for an unbelievable Olympic hat-trick of hat-tricks in 100meters, 200 meters and 4x100 relay. It'll be emotional. |

Not much of a beast if you can't handle a couple of late nights .
Seriously though I just got lucky that I'm on the evening shift this week and not in work till 2.00pm. |

I know, I'd be the same. As I said I'm not in work till 2.00pm this week so under no pressure to get up in the mornings. Fair play to you for staying up though. |

I think I'll be genuinely gutted for him if he doesn't get the Gold tonight. I'm sure he'll do his part but it's in the hands of 3 other runners and I just hope they can do it.
I already have the butterflies, I feel like I did before Waterford played Kilkenny over the last 2 weeks. I'll be a bag of nerves just before the race I can't believe I'm letting myself get emotionally invested in all this.
God I hope he does it and goes down in history as the very best. |

"You do seem quite emotionally invested alright!!"
Ah it's more of wanting to see a great athlete fulfill his potential. It rarely happens that someone who's worked so hard in their life and has genuine talent gets what they deserve. |

"Hopefully he'll do it anyway. Are they timed individually at all in it?"
No, they each run 100 meters and pass a baton to the next runner so it goes down to whichever team finishes first. Oh and if one of them drops the baton they are disqualified. That's what I meant when I said it's not in Bolt's hands tonight. He's depending on 3 other runners to do well. |

"I bet he won again right?"
Haha, yes he did. Well, his team did but Bolt ran the last 100 meters to take the win for the Jamaican team.
Perhaps you were a lucky charm in some sort of way by never watching him run |

Do u know, according to his agent he has never ran a full mile.
He is broader and taller than most sprinters. Usually thought of as an unadvantage as they usually have a longer starting time n rely on their long lyms to stretch over the finishing line. Lymford Christy excuse the bad spelling. Im typing blind here |

Apparently he loves McDonalds too because wherever he is in the world he knows that McDonalds food will be one of, if not, the cleanest foods you can eat in terms of hygiene.
Off to McDonalds so..to eat like a champion |

Ha, same here. I'm working 6-2 next week so will be getting up at 5am from Monday but thanks to MR. Bolt I am now in a routine of bed at 3.30am and getting up at 11am. It will be some shock to the system come Monday morning . |
