"What is a socially accepted age difference these days. I know its each to your own and all that but 35 and 20 just doesnt seem right"
It doesn't seem right because at thirty five ur considered more experienced preying on the innocence of a twenty year old but u know what if it works for those involved who is anyone to judge |

This may be true but the perception would be that u have the advantage of years and experience the question was what's socials acceptable. While it's not something that would bother me I believe it would bother alot of others |

Its not so much the age difference that bothers me.
Its the fact that theres a whole lot of difference in a 35 yr old man and a 20 yr old girl.
If she was 30 and him 45 - I would have no problem at all

The saying "don't criticise me because my kink is different to your kink " clearly dosent apply here. Broad general sweeping statements based on your own prejudice? Now that's the way to go.
Why not just set your profile to the age sexual orientation and other settings you like and let everyone else do the same? |

For sexton it doesn't really matter. I've slept with someone 25 years older than me. For dating personal preference really. I'd usually not date anyone beyond 8/9 years older. I'd prefer to be at the same stages of life. |

They say dont go younger than half your age plus 7.
But if both happy then what the hell but people do a whole lot of growing up in their 20s and are usually a bit more grounded in their 30s but of course you will always have exceptions to this. |

I think it fine as people get older, i stick to people near my own age though...used to think a 16 year old going out with somebody in their mid twenties was a bit strange...but if people like that stayed together for years ther'd only be small gap later in life...different strokes, never been for me though. |

On the maturity thing... I know 20yr olds who are more mature than some of the 50 year olds here so the maturity argument doesn't work for me.
How important is social acceptability when it comes to swinging or nsa sex? It's hardly socially acceptable to begin with.
If it's dating your talking about it might be a different matter. I'd be inclined to say follow your heart regardless of whether it's socially acceptable at the moment of not. Social norms change over time. It's not that long since it was socially acceptable to send your child off on a day out with the local priest. You don't hear of that happening much these days. |

Age can be just a number. If the difference doesn't suit don't go there. For me it do sent matter. My grandparents had 53 year age gap got married had a family and they were happy. Each to there own |

I'm 23 Liam is 38. We are both very happy, I really don't see the problem, or why it's anyone else's business what the age gap between couples is. If you don't wanna meet someone a certain gap older or younger than you then don't? It's each to their own when it comes to ages.

I think mmc rapped it up well there in that the ops question was asked is it socially acceptable,what wasn't accepted 20 years ago is changing as people's perceptions change
Meeting for nsa sex age doesn't bother me more the maturity of the person I am meeting is what I am interested in as was said there are some that's on these sites |

I'm 11 years older then my partner , never been an issue for us and no ones ever passed any comment.
But I Have to say in general the guys in their 20's here can send really stupid messages . Just today I've gotten .
You look great for your age .
Wow I can't believe you are 42 you look 20 and the award for dummeist message today went to the guy who told me I should be proud of the fact that my arse hasn't fallen yet .

But if anyone's noticed most women on the site only prefer 30 and up.. so it's very hard for younger members to even strike up a conversation. Because they can't even send a wink lol age is just a number of you are both attracted to each other then Wats the harm.. we're all here to have fun.. that's the main thing |
