It's not discrimination when it's true.
Travellers are well known to marry their first cousins. It happens quite often in their community.
It's not actually illegal to marry your first cousin in Ireland, however it is illegal for second and third cousins to marry due to the high proportion of birth defects in these marriages.

That's not true. First cousins are more likely to have birth defects than second or third cousins
In the dog breeding world that would be line breeding not inbreeding.
In fact like in the dog world op could breed with his cousin and lock in certain genetic traits in the off spring,like if op was tall and most of his brothers and sisters was tall but his cousin was small,she might have the tall gene in her DNA but it's recessive,she's small. So op breeds with her and the chances of their off spring being tall are much higher
If op bred to his half sister and they both were tall the off spring would almost certainly be tall,we turned the recessive gene into a dominant gene
If we selective breed from the off spring,only breed the tallest and cull the smaller eventually we will have a true breeding line of tall ppl
And that's how different dog breeds were formed |
