I've been looking into this lately as my current job looks like it's about to wind down. Is there anyone here who has done any of the courses and is there work out there in the security sector? I've been looking at the door security /guarding course in particular. Be grateful for any info. |

Im in the security sector, but the electronic side of it. Theres always jobs going in it but u do need experience, fas do aload of training courses on cctv and intruder alarms so if ur interested in that its a good way to go. Wages can be very good once u know what ur at and u are always doing something different. Its def one of the less boring jobs u can do and id highly recommend it if ur looking a change |

Cheers lad. I had heard the wages were poor enough but I just wanted to see what it was across the board. I think I'll stick to another driving job. At least I have good bit of experience in the sector |

My son did his security badge for the commonwealth games and has worked part time ever since. You can do it while still having a full time job or studying. He's always been paid above minimum wage and has had some good events like the Ryder Cup, football matches, etc
He has had bad experiences but that happens in all jobs.
