Just curious as to what the word slut means to ppl? I know some of you may wanna be careful cause you don't wanna upset potential meets lol but be honest with your meaning of the word.
For example, If a girl is having casual fun with various men regularly. Let's say a different guy every weekend... Is she slutty? Or is she just having fun?
And where do you draw the line |

I'm not even sure the word is relevant anymore apart from when being used in role play. It came from a time when it was the norm for guys to have a different sexual partner every week and be a hero while his female equivalent was a slut, a word used in a derogatory sense for doing the same. We are way past that now. There should be a room 101 for some words depending in the context they are used in. This is one that has no real use anymore |

I don't think guys were ever hero's for having multiple partners / being "sluts". I do think there's a fine line between having fun and degrading yourself though but where do you draw the line |

So what is your interpretation of the word slut in today's world. Just someone who sleeps around a bit or ??? . A prostitute might only do it once a month when money is tight, would you consider a prostitute a slut. so I'm not sure the frequency on sex has much of a bearing on the term |

In a derogatory way it was used to describe women in a bye gone age today the term is used more loosely usually between open minded people in a play full manner or role play.
However there are still those wearing blinkers that view the term as a discription they can use to put a woman down because she enjoys sex and isn't afraid to say so and do something aboutit.

I see the word slut as a positive word. To my mind it's a good thing. I identify it with traits I admire.

Its a word used to shame women into behaving how society wants it to behave. Why would we do that? Antrapologically speaking it could be to limit the strife within a small tribal unit. If you only have a small community in pre - historic times you don't want your hunters killing themselves for available women. Violent men, who lived in a violent time where, the strength of your arm was the most persuasive argument they had, were not about limit themselves. Easier to bully women.
Think of the 10 commandments as a good example of a tribal community setting out laws to limit strife within its people. God says don't steal or fuck other people cos we are crossing the desert and that shit would be bad cos we need all our people for fighting the hitites.
We are more evolved socially now. We are not exactly in the promised land yet but we can all do our bit by being a bit less judgemental/jealous of people who are doing exactly what you want to be doing

I'm not saying it is correct or incorrect to use it but the origin of the word is in a female context,people have taken control of the word to turn a negative into what some now see as a positive depending on the context.It just is what it is and at the end of the day it's only a word. |
