Do enjoy yourself, do enjoy every minute of those new, intense, incomparable sensations and moments
Do read, get informed as much as you can on anatomy, physics, and psychology in BDSM, and make sure the other party is as informed (wether you go for something light or more hardcore)

Evie Vane has a book The Guide to Getting Tied Up, she also has youtube videos. Also look up guides on subbing. These days people are looking at Personal Responsible Informed Kink.
