A lot of them charge you for the pleasure.
You would be aswell to ring revenue yourself and ask what credits you are entitled to. Register for "Paye anytime" and request blanching p21s for the last 5 years after you submit your med1 forms and then any rebate owed will be sent out
On the other hand you may have underpaid tax, which is highly unlikely unless you have claimed any social welfare payments in the year or had multiple emolyments |

A couple of years ago I used one of these companies. I got 2,500 euro back (thanks to the newly departed (not dead) sort of ex husband).
I did pay them a percentage - can't remember what it was, maybe around 8%.
Was I a happy girl |

"Load rubbish. Dont go near them. Source it yourself if you can"
do it yourself. It's easy enough. We did it and got 2 k. Then did it again a year later and got a bill for 800 euro.
It's a gamble |

"I've heard an add on the radio for a company that claims back any tax you're due from the dreaded tax man,
Have any of you ever tried it ? Or is it a load of crap ?
"
They take a percentage, and are the Professionals.
No Return, No Fee. So you cannot lose.
Revenue will not tell you what you are due or to claim for, you have to claim against them.
Give it a Go, nothing to lose, Money to Gain. |

Go to the revenue website MD look up all the allowances you can claim. There are loads that many people are not even aware of. Seriously I get everything I am entitled to and save about 7k a year. |
