Newspapers and news channels have made us more suspicious of others, soaps are fake and any plonker that believes they're reality and takes notice of them needs a few weeks intensive therapy |

give the soap writers their dues...
they do highlight some real life situations from mental health/alcohol/drug issues to racism and gender issues.
but most of it is crap |

People watch them as a form of escapism,they form a relationship with characters in them, theyre real life stories even though they are magnified, theyre an emotional experience and entertainment. Its like a womans ritual to tune in, where men are more likely to have a ritual about sports |
