The growing fad of superfoods is the greatest load of sh#*e!! It's a money making scheme. Every week there seems to be something new on the market tried and tested by "professionals"! Give it a break

A lot of food so called 'superfood' is pretty common stuff you would be eating every day anyway if you ate a balanced diet - it's not all strange fruit and veg you've never heard of, nevermind won't find down your local shop

Train hard and you can eat what you want. Weigh yourself every day instead of weekly. It's easier to remember what you did and ate for one day as opposed to a week. You will then soon start to find out what foods and what type of training works for you. I lost almost two stone in a year doing it that way.

Into a plastic bag with an apple. It works with bannanas at least. Apples give off ethylene gas which ripens the fruit.

Put the kiwi into a paper or pierced plastic bag with an apple, banana or pear. The gas produced by these fruits will accelerate the kiwi to ripen after 1 to 2 days stored on a work surface at room temperature

Fyffe's used to have a banana ripening facility in Dublin years ago where the green bananas were put into big chambers and ethylene pumped in to ripen them. Ireland was a banana exporting country in those days I'm not sure if it's still there.

These are the same people who say eating good healthy food is expensive.... no just stop buying gimmicky super foods and anything in a package that says high protein, organic or from the jungles *excotic*

You're all missing the point.

Some examples of superfoods are carrots, beetroot, spinach, berries and nuts - none of these are 'fads' or expensive. Just sensible eating

Does anyone always eat 5 portions between fruit n veg each day?

on the hill NordWest of

Fresh fruit and vegetables you prepare yourself will do the job.

If you buy those chopped packaged fruit portions you get in any supermarket you might as well eat no fruits.

Also those gluten free products are a lot of nonsense unless you're a celiac
