Oh gosh! I should have clarified.. yes I am Indian.. I am sorry if this sounded racist post
But considering the sparseness of responses, I think it's fair to go with my earlier assumption that Indians or Pakistanis will be hard to find in Ireland.. and getting a swingers bunch next to impossible (which is a pity) 
Anyhow hope to be more active on Ireland forum and meet some Faber's once my trip freezes.

I don't get the major upset with shortening Pakistani to Paki surely it is the same as Scottish to Scot or Australian to Aussie or Polish to Pole I guess the whole mock indignation is just a way of life for some people as the OP himself being from the region in question has no problems with the terminology so it is up to the SJW brigade to be offended in his stead. |

Such shit. I have a English brother in law and we get on great. He always calls me paddy and I call him English twat. We are good buddies. Will ye ever get over this racist shit card. If anyone of us went to Pakistan or India you'd want to here what they say about us and must of us don't understand them. God forbid any in Ireland speak what they believe with out being shot down by the pc brigade |

Technically the word Paki means Pure. So even if is seen as a derogatory term, I have never seen it as that. When someone uses it in that context, they are actually complimenting the person. |
