Has anybody here ever got sick of their job and just said feck it I quit and go look for something good else?
Or did you wait till you got another job and then quit?
Sick of been in an office all day but the amount of jobs that require you to be active is minimal. Most jobs are sedentary jobs as in your static most of them. I miss the outdoors
Some one advise me |

I feel like that at the moment. I'm in a good job but no incentive to go for promotion as I would drop in wage. Really would love a job as a park ranger or something. Or just a complete career change but with more money. |

Honestly money isn't my motivation at all. I'm on a really good wage and people do laugh when I say I would work for less.
I would rather work at something I love for a modest wage than work at something I hate for a savage wage!

It depends on your responsibilities. If it's only you depending on the salary and you've some savings, I don't see a reason why you should wait to quit. Waiting until you've a new job is safer and in certain situations more sensible way. However if you're without job it might put you bit more under pressure to seek something new and might eventually get you there faster.
Alternatively you can set up your own business if you find a niche where you can combine your professional skills with your outdoor interests. |

Just remember, everyone wants to be working outdoors this time of the year but its less appealing when its January and its 1 degree and horizontal raining.
But i do agree if you can find something you love doing then it makes going to work a whole lot better.
But you have to pay the bills too, so go find something before you throw in your job, and dont burn your bridges as the new job might not be as good as you expect it to be. |

Would love too. If I didn't have responsibilities. I'd pack up by a camper van and head out. What about you have you never fancied travelling or have you already been there and got the t shirt? |

"Just saw your age, quit your job, go and travel the world!
Assuming he has no dependents..."
No I have a wife and child and very happy to keep supporting them so that ship has set sail. I don't begrudge them and im not unhappy but should have gone when I was young free and single |

Thanks for all the replies
Travelling is out of the question for the mo. Have a dependent but travelling is a certainty in the near future.
I don't know exactly what I want to do but I defenitly would love a job that gives back go society in some way. Like a social worker or something along them lines.
Again appreciate all the replies |
