Tough one. Two options, pay someone to come to your home and watch them do it or take a sledge hammer to it and get a new laptop. As far as I'm aware the blue screen of death is normally a hardware issue but I'm no expert. Everyone is going to tell you this but get into the habit of back up your pics. It's a certainty that your pc will die at some point so be prepared for it

BSOD should give you an error code at the bottom of the screen...

Laptop? Overheating would be my first suggestion.

Simple & cheap option would be swap your HD with one from a working PC, see if it boots up & runs on the other, copy your pics whilst there...

Could be a number of things.. could also be a memory issue "RAM" but as said earlier in the thread there could be an error code that you can google from the device you used to lig in here.. the option of taking a HDD from another computer and putting it in to this computer would not rwally be an option due to drivers and config etc. And the best option so far is a new HDD but on that you will need to reinstall the OS onto it ..have you the discs?? The easier way would be to bring both old and new HDD to someone and "CLONE" the old one to the new one.. all data etc will still be there..there are plenty of options for you..

Hit F8 as your computer boots us and select 'Safe Boot', this will load up windows with minimal drivers and (should) allow you to load up your machine. Then transfer your pics etc to USB drive.

If not constantly blue screening back up photos the next time you can access them. Once backed up I would suggest completely reinstalling Windows. This fixes blue screen if caused by software. Keep photos backed up in case it's hardware though.

If constantly blue screening it's possible to save pics by removing hard disk, placing it in an external docking bay connected to another PC and and saving them that way. Once saved, place hard disk back in original PC and reinstall Windows.

If you are not comfortable doing that and you want to keep the pics private it may be awkward for you...

Hope you got this sorted but the above quote is completely bang on.

Do not under any circumstance power the computer up again as if the hard drive does fail totally chances of recovery are 1 very expensive and 2 photos are going to be looked at on coffee break in the data recovery place lol

If its not sorted drop me a message and i will do my best to help i have done this many times

A BSOD can't be diagnosed on an Internet forum if you don't even tell us which code it is and the circumstances of the error. Anyone who tells you otherwise is talking rubbish.
