If you keep your eyes open in the forums you'll see what's going on. Try and join in here as much as you can, even when it's not so easy and people will get to know you a bit better and hopefully you'll start to make your way to getting invited to events.

When you message people try to put some effort into your mail and it'll be recieved far better than the 'fancy a fuck' 'your Mrs is hot' type messages.
