Flickr gives you 1TB of storage space and you can just set all of your pic's to private. Using it for years now and never had an issue.
I used photo vault but lost everything when the app updated. I wouldn't advise using it.
If you do have a USB key and want to keep pics from your other half you best just hide it very carefully because if she finds its password protected your in the shit either way

"Store them on photo vault (an app)
It's pin or finger print protected. You can look at your pics easily and reimport them to you phone if you need/want to"
I think that's the app that also takes a photo if someone tries to access it so you can see who is the nosey fecker amongst your friends |

Don't know her circumstances, but the company I work for use Dropbox also, and we store confidential files/photos, if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me.
Probably best to have a really good password, caps, lower case and numbers.. |

"Put everything on vhs and store them under the bed sure be grand "
Yeah and if someone does find them they'll need a VHS player to view them....safe as houses....I think as unsafe as online stuff can be, it's more unsafe for me to stash files around the gaff or computer, i'll always just forget where i put it, or forget i put it there at all till somebody finds it. |

Just do this or get a portable hard drive and just encrypt the complete drive. |
