April 2016 v Borussia Dortmund
December 2004 v Olympiakos
So Champions league beckons, first silverware for 4 years and Jurgen's first for us.

Then Clyne gives away a pen, 2-1

Sure, Sevilla are the holders, but Sevilla are a Europa League team.
Liverpool has began to show that we are now Champions League quality....or some might say ALMOST.
That said, I think that we are a better class of team than Sevilla in our current form.
It can go any way though. Our usual blunders could send us 2-0 down and come back to win 2-3 or we could go on and win by 3 and only concede 1 goal.
Either way, I need a spare set of boxers for later because I'll be soiling myself!!!

Everyone in the Liverpool family knows that we win together with pride and loose together. On the night we were beaten by a weaker team on paper but they had the heart belief and passion to believe. How many times have we come back when we were behind. Hats off to them. While we wallow in our despair one slight positive to take is that last time we weren't in europe we came close in the prem. As Klopp just said he promised fans this team will be 100% better next season. . Yes the superstars wont be rushing to us during the summer but if we can get a few quality buys I still believe klopp will return the lfc family to the top table where it should be. Believe because YNWA. |

Under Rodgers it was kamikaze at times letting in 3 or 4 goals every Week but scoring more the other end.
Klopp is still using the same players at the back

I don't think pool are as you said earlier *back where you belong... its a pity they are not in europe in some fashion next season but its fair to say klopp does have his work cut out,
I'm sure he already knew that an overhaul would be needed the minute he signed up but Xmas would have been the wrong time .

I follow, support and attend Irish league football. Also Local soccer clubs and regional GAA games etc.
I've loved Liverpool since I was as young as five I think.
When I got to school, history was a strong subject for me and Liverpool city always seemed like an extension to Dublin. So many Irish left Dublin and got the ferry to Liverpool.
That's what strengthened my support for the club.
Open your eyes as to why people support English clubs.
For some, it's a love of the sport. For some others it's that and something deeper.
Liverpool FC lost tonight but.....yes buts mean nothing....
But we were robbed by the ref in the first half and the team were outplayed in the second half.
Sevilla were the deserved winners.
They had the hunger.
Klopp will need to sell and loan out some players.....and buy buy buy!
