One of the catchier anti-Vietnam War songs, "War" by Edwin Star spans the generation gap. It still features in movies and receives plenty of radio play time today. Its militaristic chant "War!/What is it good for?/Absolutely nothin'!" drives home a simple yet powerful message to the listener.

My hubby even got to kiss Edwin Stars daughter when they were in Dublin and I mean a real kiss not one of those showbiz type kisses. He seen Edwin live at an event when the backing track broke but Edwin sang on and he said Edwin singing it acapella was fantastic.

Pretty much anything by Gil Scott Heron, but 'The Revolution Will Not Be Televised' is as good a place as any to start.
