Was thinking the same thing again, had seen people putting disclaimers on the end of their profiles & wondered what they were on about. Any one to shed some light on this? |

It's a very old internet rumour that is false.
The rumour is a sydney university student did a phd on sexual related psychology subject. For their research they collected thousands of photos from sex/fetish sites and processed them for information.
People put up the warning falsely thinking that it will stop it happening them.
Firstly. No one can stop a university collecting information for research. They have signed agreements with music and film industry but that is just good faith. In theory uni students can break copyright to get their research done.
Secondly. Sydney never did the research to begin with.
Thirdly. Every university has an ethics board, and the ethics board would make any such collection of data anynomous, tattoos blurred, background blurred face blurred, where the photo came from not stored.
So it just takes up fabswinger bandwidth by adding it to your page as it means nothing and its all based on an old false rumour to begin with.
Interestingly, a UK university grabbed a load of tinder photos for research. Tinder couldnt stop them. |

Course not.
So why post it.
