I think its a joke that most of the country voted him out and hes still in power.

He's in tight with the bilderberg group so oh well, Ireland is just another puppet state for the next few years.

"It will be interesting to see how long it lasts..."

It will last for 20 years cause FF and FG are really the same party and people keep voting for them two.

...in a way yes, all parties are basically centrist wwith either a left or right leaning..

But historically FF have a habit of severely weakening their government partners.

More like a muppet, but nobody to thank but ourselves. At least it's looking like there will be a proper main opposition party for a change.

Can't believe that wooden head is leading Ireland for another 5years. The media are celebrating him as the first fg Taoiseach that got re elected. What they're nicely ignoring that he wasn't re-elected by the people.

I'll probably get lambasted for this but I'm in favour of water charges for many reasons, which I won't go into just now.

I'm in favour of them too. My problem is paying for them twice. Also where has the money gone that was allocated for upgrades and maintenance that we paid through car tax? They spent it on other things and now have no money to do the upgrades so they are trying to get us to pay... Again

The problem is not only the charges as such, it's the privatisation of the water that will follow eventually. Do you think it's right to privatise the water that falls from the sky, runs in the rivers and rests in the lakes? It's sickening! The next thing they will charge for is the air we're breathing...

In California until very recently, it was illegal to even collect rainwater...now you can but you need a license...
