What are you like with age restrictions in a relationship? Currently a relative of mine is 19 and shes in a relationship with a 28 yo. 2 much or not a problem? |

For me a 19 year old is a teenager so its wrong for an adult to be with them.
The past is the past, when women would be happy to stay at home and be a wife, they often picked older men who had built up a job, and were able to provide.
But this is 2016, teens should be with other teens out experiencing life not with some aul lad.
For me the age limit gets bigger as you get older
for example, 19 year old should top out dating 24 year olds.
20 year olds shouldnt go higher than 28 year old
22 year old shouldnt go higher than 30
25 year old can go as high as 38
30 year old can go as high as 50 or older if they want.
That's my opinion. |

My ex husband was 10 years older than me and it wasnt the age gap that we divorced or because of sex! It doesnt matter how old you are or the age gap. My marriage lasted 19 years and hes such a great friend and dad to my kids. Right now ,Im gonna find meself a 37 year old Adonis that will rock my world mentally and physically. Ill fill you all in tomorrow when i wake up   |

I know it's often said but it's nothing but a number. Age doesn't necessarily dictate maturity, personality, compatibility etc.
Who's to say a person can't "experience life" because they're with someone older/younger than they are. A perfect match is a perfect match, that transcends age. Conversley, two similarly aged peopled could be polar opposites.
I think if you focus too much on that aspect that you'd be asking for problems to arise. |

I read that and thought really no I am seeing things it was common place for the male to be 20 yrs older than the fem back in the day but in 2016 who gives a shit there's plenty couples where there is ten, twenty or thirty years between spouses both ways

Back in the day it was common for women to have less rights too, it was a practical and logical solution to be with an older guy.
If you were 30 you simply couldnt find a single 30 year old woman to date.
In 2016 women have too much to go out and experience to be with a 30 year old at 19.
They need to be heading off to uni, they need to be out there making mistakes and learning from life, and they need to go out and build a life for themselves, and there are lots of 30 year olds out there single.
It just makes no sense any more, even if it still does happen. |

They say age is only a number I have to say lots yough kids this days are very mature for them age. I personally rather someone 27 or older but I dont mind to teach a yough one a thing or two |

I'm 38,recently had a 19 year old chasing after me, I was considering it but my niece is the same age! Think they actually know each other!! Went out with an 18 year old when I was 30,was OK, but her friends thought I was her dad! Embarrassing for both of us,
half your age and add 7 is a good enough equation!! |

"For me a 19 year old is a teenager so its wrong for an adult to be with them.
The past is the past, when women would be happy to stay at home and be a wife, they often picked older men who had built up a job, and were able to provide.I
But this is 2016, teens should be with other teens out experiencing life not with some aul lad.
For me the age limit gets bigger as you get older
for example, 19 year old should top out dating 24 year olds.
20 year olds shouldnt go higher than 28 year old
22 year old shouldnt go higher than 30
25 year old can go as high as 38
30 year old can go as high as 50 or older if they want.
That's my opinion.
I have to agree with this totally. As you get older it matters less. "
