Agreed Cj.... im not saying that it was right but nobody knows any details yet and im saying what state of mind was the childs mother in? It beggars belief that this can happen in this lifetime. The poor angel was meant to be just that, an angel. |

This is so sad, it's awful that this can still happen in this day and age. God knows what state the mother is in. So without all the information I can't judge. Who knows what distress or mental illness is in their lives. The poor little innocent child. RIP |

"It's very tragic, awful and sad for mother and child.
Why is there no such facility like a baby hatch in Ireland?
What do you mean by a baby hatch ?"
A baby hatch is a place where people (typically mothers) can bring babies, usually newborn, and leave them anonymously in a safe place to be found and cared for.
On the continent those hatches are usually in hospitals, social centres, or churches, and consist of a door or flap in an outside wall which opens onto a soft bed, heated or at least insulated. Sensors in the bed alert carers when a baby has been put in it so that they can come and take care of the child. |
