If you have a Laptop or pc that has a hdmi connection then you can install a preconfigured version of kodi called TVMC

I have that setup at home and except for having no remote it works perfectly.

Depending on what you want box to do as to how much to pay. You can get a android box to run kodi fairly cheap, or combined sat kodi box from 100 euro.

Wetek openelec box can do sat and kodi think 100 euro delivered or look up zgemma star 2 think it's called around same money as well with 1 tuner.

If you have a smart phone download the pc remote app and use your phone to control the laptop, job's a good'n!

Don't waste money, buying one with Kodi installed...buy the Firestick and install Kodi yourself...takes 5 minutes
