Howard Marks died, great book and very good film.

Drugs will divide opinion, especially with drug mules in the news here lately....

Yes he did seem very sound, Rhys Ifans did a great job portraying him. The DVD and books will sell like hot cakes know

"Don't criminals die all time? Newsworthy?..."

Fair point, but your average criminals don't have a best selling book and a major film made about their lives. also it seems it is newsworthy as it's on rte headlines and sky and BBC.

Went to see him live at the Button Factory in Temple Bar.

He signed my copy of his book and my ticket.

He also signed my promo poster of the event that I swiped off the wall when security weren't looking.

RIP Mr Nice, don't bogart that joint my friend

I was very privileged to have met Howard on a few occasions. We have a couple of mutual friends and I can honestly say that he was one of the most polite guys I've ever met. RIP Mr Nice.
