same here C-Bear. I have been told May is a good time to start looking as the students go home and others leave for the summer also. i am hoping there will be some decent choices out there.

Dublin West

You would be lucky to get a 1 bed apartment in dublin for less than €1400 a month.

In the city centre they can easily range from €1800 - €2200 a month for a 1 bed.

Expect to pay €450 - 500 + Bills for a room in a house outside the city and more in it.

There is a massive shortage of places and i have seen places go for more than they are looking for as they get into a dutch auction and play people off against each other.

Out in the sticks

Ridiculous prices... was talking to a couple over w/end, they sold their house in Dublin, bought a 3 bed apartment on the river for 48k, commute from Ck on Shannon.

Thought they were mad until they told me they are mortgage free and a healthy bank balance from sale!!
