As I've previously said to others who haven't been to parties/M&Gs or socials - there's a lot to be said for gaining experience before attempting to manage an event yourself.
Quote:
I'd highly recommend before attempting to run an event of your own - that you attend several of those well-run events by the long-term organisers - and get to know how/why they are best run by well-verified, established members who are trusted by the party/event going members.
That way you would learn that there are ways to do these things - and putting up a random 'who's interested' post that shows a complete lack of experience - is not going to engender much interest from those who value their safety and discretion.

That's very presumptuous of you. You don't know he hasn't been to any social events before etc.
Good luck to you OP I hope it all works out well x |

"I'm toying with the idea of having a party in my place next month. Just wondering if any fabbers have any tips or advice"
Good luck with it if it goes ahead. You're well verified and experienced on fabs so I'm sure it'll be a success. Don't mind the sanctimonious posts from the begrudgers it's a standard copy and paste reply and doesn't seem to apply to you |

Best of luck with it OP. As someone who has observed people organising big parties and helped in a small way to organise some smaller ones, I can tell you it's a bit of work.
But the pay off when you have one of the most amazing nights of your life makes it worthwhile. |

"Did this thread not pop up last week ,iv seen it.
It's a different thread but some of the copy and paste responses are the same "
Well spotted! Gotta love the copy and paste responses. It didn't take long for the cynical ones to go silent when they were proven wrong |
