Hi all
What are your views on the use of the "c word"? You know the one that rhymes with punt...
Totally killed the mood for me during a recent hook up. Hate the word, awful sounding word and took me right out of the moment. |

I prefer the P word that rhymes with fussy
Anything less is not sexual and just twee. The C word just sounds violent to me. |

Personally I think it should be reserved for use when describing the scum of the earth pedos or some TDs and Never Ever in the company of a woman. (^v^) |

Thank goodness I never came across that breed using the c word.
I'm not into gutter language and dirty talk. Any word that has a derogatory meaning ie slut should better not be used in my presence. |

"Depends on the context & situation, it's just a word. Dirty talk doesn't have regulations."
Yep, same here.
though in the heat of passion I wouldn't be calling the person a c**t but I may call part of their anatomy one. |

Don't use it in any context simples.
If people don't like pussy either then what do they say? Minge? Flange? Foo foo? Front bum??
I know vagina is the anatomical description but it's such an unattractive word isn't it?
Hmmmm I'd love some vadge right now |

If people don't like this type of language being used during sex, that's their prerogative.
However I don't understand the offence some people seem to take from this word in general, or the disgust they have for it. It's just a group of letters, it can't hurt you, same as any other word. Again I'm talking about the use of it outside the bedroom.
Personally I like the word, it conveys a lot of emotion :D |

When talking about pussy I'd say no, but if I meet a particularly annoying person who's just acting the prick for the sake of it, yeah its appropriate then regardless of their gender.
What about munt? A man-cunt, it never took off here.
If you're easily offended don't watch this, Jim Jefferies talking about cunts https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VbG-LsMo6U0 |

My best real life friends use cunny/cunt we think it's hilarious it's only a word....we call each other it all the time!
And I love a bit of name calling in the mist of a good session...
I grew up with sticks and stones may hurt my bones but whips and chains excite me....
Erm....what was that rhyme again... |

Many words are offensive, or considered "bad" words, but CUNT is the only one that draws such a reaction from people. If used as an insult to someone, it's the same as calling them a bastard or a dickhead or a bitch. If used to describe female genitalia it's the same as saying pussy or any of the countless words for it. So I don't understand why this word is considered so much worse than others. |

I wouldn't use it while having sex with someone. However, I think it's very effective for describing certain people. It's almost the last taboo when it comes to the English language |

Fair point, but I'd think twice if she wanted me to talk dirty about her Fionnuala.
I think even Maureen O'Hara would vote for pussy! This should be Enda Kenny's next campaign slogan. |

"Horrible word same as b.....d never liked either "
You're not supposed to like it. That's kinda the point
Even in a sexual context, it's supposed to be derogatory. Some people like that. |

"It's a word that can be used in different contexts.
Those aghast by it's mere mention need to loosen up. "
Yeah, the swingers need to loosen up, be sluttier Ffs!
It's good to have words that are rarely used and so more effective when they are.
I don't say fuck or fucking in day to day conversation.... So when I do it means something..... |

I don't like or use the word in general. However, there is no other word I know of that covers the spectrum of feelings, if for instance I bang my head hard on my fireplace wall by accident when I'm cleaning out the fire or someone almost causes an accident when I'm in traffic. The emotional release of just saying or (in severe cases) screaming the word, is a wonderful thing.

Have to agree with Annie, Laid,Jilly & Mr Moonstruck....
it is just a word...
My team mates refer to me by it...even during training when I haven't done anything underhand.
At home, Apple's will give me that I know what you did look...then utter that word with a smile on her face ...
In fact like Annie, it's a term of endearment among my pals...
Ollie...or that 'c', as he's known to his pals
