So I held a spring fling social meet in a lovely hotel in Derry went to a lot of effort and was quite expensive and I asked everyone to put £15 in an envelope and some people handed in an envelope with piece of paper in it !!! That's not on now it's only a few pound but that's not the point x |

awh that wasn't nice thing to do ,not only did they let you down Polly they let themselves down.
How low can some get sold their soul for a few quid.
Id be gutted but it doesn't surprise me at all.
Some people now days would pay you twice & wouldn't ask for change.

It's the underhanded muppets that mess it up for others........ £15 is not a lot of money these days. The amount of hassle to set these things up and they were asked for just £15 and didn't intentionally pay is pathetic .

What a shit thing to do. The bit that bugs me most is that those people then went on to mix and mingle with other guests, knowing full well the nasty stunt they'd pulled. If they couldn't afford the cover charge, they should have stayed at home. |

I can't believe people would stoop this low polly, it actually makes me sick to think of it. You did a great job with the social and was a brilliant night, definitely don't let it put you off hosting socials in the futur because that'd be a huge loss. Maybe just make sure names are written on the envelopes that way you'll be able to track it. Chin up xx
