Any Currency.
Won well in its last and should provide decent each way value.
I'll be back later with more worthwhile each way bets.
I cleaned up on the Irish national by hedging. |

I'll be following this thread carefully, if your racing tips are half as good as the other tips, I don't doubt I'll be quids in |

The 40 horses are named.
The final field of 40, and four reserves, will be named on Thursday.
Any Currency didn't make the forty.
This race has a low strike rate for favorites to win. I'll get the stats later.
With that in mind, for each way value, and to get the best odds, I'll post up some horses that I FANCY and the inside tips that I get after the final field of 40 are announced on Thursday. |

That's very true, I would hazard a guess that most winners have been priced from 12-1 up to 25-1.
In fact in the last 20 years only 3 favourites and 2 joint favourites have won. All priced st 7-1 coincidentally. In the previous 20 only 1 favourite won. Remarkably at 7-1.
Look at horses between 15-1 and 30-1, aged 9-12 and that have won over st least 3 miles.... |

Yup. Almost on the money.
Most have been 9 or 10 year olds but since the national started they've ranged from 9-12.
Stats that I saved last week:
*Eight of the past ten previous winners, shared the following characteristics -
9 to 12 years old
handicap rating above 135 on the day
weight of 11 stone 6lb or under
won over at least three miles
run in at least ten chases
won a chase worth at least ?£13,000.
Ten years of winners:
Year
Horse
Age
Handicap
SP
2015 Many Clouds 8 11-09 25/1
2014 Pineau de Re 11 10-06 25/1
2013 Auroras Encore 11 10-03 66/1
2012 Neptune Collonges 11 11-06 33/1
2011 Ballabriggs 10 11-00 14/1
2010 Don't Push It 10 11-05 10/1 JF
2009 Mon Mome 9 11-00 100/1
2008 Comply or Die 9 10-09 7/1 JF
2007 Silver Birch 10 10-06 33/1
2006 Numbersixvalverde 10 10-08 11/1
2005 Hedgehunter 9 11-01 7/1 F

The grand national has been good to me.
Between insider info and study etc.
Mon Mome...... I still get a horn thinking about this.
2009. A bookie pal called me and asked me how much money had I to spare. Me thinking it was a loan, I said whatever you need.
No no no he said. Wait for a text and back the horse. Trust me. His last words on the phone.
I had two fifties on me and my debit card. Fifty quid bet and fifty for beer haha.
Cracking day!!! |

"Have been told to put a few bob on Bishop Road."
That horse hasn't been placed in the forty horses racing.
It's number 41 in the surplus list in case there are non runners.
Holywell looks good but my mind will be made up on Thursday evening. |

Know someone who uses similar criteria, think it was something like 12 of the last 17 winners fit the same bill. Using his for this years I have it worked out as;
Holywell, Goonyella, Gallant Oscar, Morning Assembly and Ballycasey who meet everything perfectly.
The Druid's Nephew, Saint Are, Just A Par, The Romford Pele and Ballynagour who cut some of the criteria a little fine.
But I wouldn't be shocked if I've messed up somewhere as my usual exposure to race betting is dropping a pen on the newspaper |

At a glance you seem right....
I was looking at Holywell,
Gallant Ocar, OnenightinVienna and Unioniste in the same way but once the forty horses are named on Thursday and I get some word from a few yard/stable friends I'll make my mind up.
Really looking forward to it. |

Tips for grand national
No such thing..its the one race where big prices are there for a reason...if it was a good tip the owner and trainer would have the money down and the horse would start at 2-1 at most...nothing will be that short come the day lol..big single bets move a price not a load of 10 20 or 50 quid bets..
.i made my money by backing big for years..i gave people here a 9-1 cheltham winner they where bout over treble that price week before until money went down by people i know ownes the horse and spread the word.they can vouch for that if reading this..only bet i done for it
..trust me there is no tips for grand national...some one says heres a tip ask them where they got it...bet you anything its a friend of a friend and unnamed of course..or someone knows a trainer lol.my answer always is explain the price then?if owners backed it sure its a sure thing why is it that price ..lol..people fall for pub talk basicaly believe anything
My advise look for a big price move not now or on day but in last 2 weeks in betting ..thats will show the big single bets..anything moving now is just public with load of shitty bets |

I will add it pays to know management in big bookies as the y know when a big single bet goes down.....if a bookie tells u everyone is backing a horse stay away small bets mean nothing...20k plus bets is a tip... |

I'd never TIP a national horse.....but large price horses and a word from a source goes a long way.
I worked for years with an online betting company in the right department to be in.
Hence the contacts.
Holywell really stands out as a personal fancy though. |

"Thoughts on cause of causes? Any chance ? "
It's listed as 49.
The final field of 40, and four reserves, will be named on Thursday.
So as the first forty are listed 1-40, and Causes is 49, it's not fielded as such just yet.
It's no a NRNB of you've already put money on it with certain bookies by the way.
If it's running, it has as good a chance as any in its level.

"Thanks T. If he runs I might back him each way see what happens. I had many clouds last year so my luck might hold "
Hopefully. Big price take a slice. I've always said that. In other words go each way.
I only ever backed a grand national horse to win twice.
2009 Mon Mome 100/1, fifty Euro to win.
2010 Don't push it, 10/1 twenty to win. |

"Best bet don't do any lol "
It all depends on your level of betting.
If you casually bet for a bit of an interest, if you gamble regularly and rarely win, if you have spare time to check horse form and weather, ground speed etc and make money, or if you are a consistent gambler with no clue.
First and third examples are okay.
One other example is a person that knows they can only bet as much as they can afford to lose, who knows form, time of year, how many races certain horses have raced to get to a certain level, and most importantly this example would be someone that knows any type of insider. That said, even inside info isn't bullet proof.
Rule number one.....only bet what you can afford to lose.
I managed lots of accounts for people that made a living out of it. It can be done but is definitely not thelevel of risk I'd be willing to take for a living. |

Hi Fabbers
Well, here you go. Todays pikcs and the Grand National at the bottom.
Make your own decisions on whether you use them in accumulators, lucky 15's, Patents etc, or indeed, SINGLE's win or each way. Just check the value with the price.
No point, for example, betting on Vatour to win when it's 1/4 right now.
Today:
1:40 Starchitect
2.15 Limini
2.50 Blaklion
3.25 Vatour
4.05 Village Vic
4.40 Gangster (NAP)
5.15 Utility
Grand National "CHOICES":
All bets each way unless stated:
*Holywell 16/1
*Unioniste 25/1
*On His Own 40/1
*Goonyella to win it at 20/1.
And if you really must be a sheep and follow the favourite, last years winner, Many Clouds at 8/1, so be it
TIPS:
7.00 tonight in Dundalk "Loyalty card"
8.30 tonight in Dundalk "Lusis Naturea"
Bet what you can afford to lose and I didn't twist your arm
Good luck!

Original poster isn't on the site.
I had a Fucking dreadful day.
Not one favorite or tipped horse won today.
One race, 4:05, had a tricast of 1660 Euro. Something like , 22/1, 25/1 and 33/1.
Crazy racing. |

"Winner not mentioned by anyone before the race .............aftertimers "
Was always a live outsider but most backers would have lost faith with it over the years
She only backed it because it's the name of a Take that song.
And that in a nutshell is why I hate Aintree |

Okay, next stop, The Fab National.
Twenty women, Twenty men, one room.
Let's see who comes first, comes last, stays well, jumps well, holds on well and uses the whip when needed |
