Well, panic over for everyone on Fab who was worried about Sunday Life story.

Paper outed Pandoras ( not good for owner ), however they did keep the identity of all those attending hidden, so, fair play for that.

The "expert" on page 3, did make some good points regarding the swinging scene also, but rest of story was a bit more of the normal that usually gets printed. ( Bit like Razzle's storys fs )

Maybe sensationalised to sell news papers, but does go to prove that theres always a newspaper lurking around somewhere.. so, just be careful out there peeps!!

Happy swinging.

Sound advice Newtown,

Like you rightly said - just another piece of sensasionalist journalism to boost sales in an ever decreasing readership.

These Rags and there are plenty of them need to remind themselves about the laws around "LIBEL"

Subtle reminder too the snoops that are amoung us - There are plenty on here that enjoy the scene, some that are Legally qaulified and are not afraid to confront low life reporters in a Courtroom.

Rant over

Now thats funny because the papers have been doing this for years and yet we have yet to see some legally qualified swinger/swingers take them to court. Because the truth be known they are afraid to confront them in court because those same people you have referred to are also the same as most other swingers they have a personal and business reputation to keep up. But your post did give me a laugh this morning, so thank you for that

I understand the fear you think I don't feel it also?

The funny bit was you saying about people of the legal profession that are swingers and not being afraid to confront them in court, thats the bit that made me laugh.

Because as I said the truth is they also have a fear of being outed and to take the papers to court they would be outing if not themselves then somebody. But the other side of my comment is it would be great to see somebody take on the press in relation to stories like these. You can't get legal aid to take them on though so it would cost somebody hundreds of thousands who has that money to throw away not knowing if they would win a case or not.

I will tell you something else that makes me laugh those profiles on websites that say "to sydney university" and end in words Legal Action" again to take the likes of that university to court would cost hundreds of thousands, who has got the money to take these people on?

North Belfast

A friend of mine owns one of the gay bisexual saunas in Belfast(currently male only). He was going to start a swinging night one per month. He approached the local police commander, who informed him: there would be no problem , he would not visit (raid). However soon as the papers and Nolan got hold of it, there may be instructions from on high to visit. He said just to show the moral public the police take complaints seriously. His most important point was the papers could sit outside and take photos of people entering/leaving as it is a public area (and legal).

The papers however could not publish pictures inside and if they did publish blurred ones, there would be a two line apology in the next edition.

My friends business is going well with gay/bi men attending and decided to leave well enough alone.

He has had the press approach him before on a few occasions, however it turned out to be a non story as he gave a pointdely clear interview and even the local parish priest (RC) who is basically a neighbour, stated. What harm is being done to me and my flock, it's in a private area. The local police commander stated, there are no laws being broken, and it's better people meet there than down an ally. So the daily mirror copied the website under a sensationalist headline, but the story was a non event. My friend says if anything it was great advertising, a full colour ad in a paper that covered all of NI for free.

So the press still see swingers as easy pray on a quiet news week. To quote the usual shite trotted out "our reporter declined to use the services and left". They forget to day the aforementioned reporter was at the next event.

Lordy lordy....

You've not read my profile.... tut tut:

WARNING: Any institution or person using this site or any of its associated sites for study or projects firstly why and if you are here for some kind of study or project where do i sign up cause that would be a cool job - You do have my permission to use any of my profile or pictures in any form or forum both current or future as i don't have any photos here on public display (bar one) so that's not going to really work. If you have or do, it won't really be considered a serious violation of our privacy & won't be subject to legal ramifications as this is 2011 and we're in a recession and it's highly unlikely i'll have the money to take you to court over it so basically nothing will happen at all as a result of this notice. By the way if you're still reading the profile at this point, fair dues you must be really bored lol

I have just read the story and they did say the reporter attended several events and they did give two seperate dates on which the reporter atended. But at least they did not mention the website which is good news.

It seems you did not read my post either I said "I will tell you something else that makes me laugh" did I say it was your profile? Where do you see that I am talking about your profile in my post. You really need to stop thinking I am making personal remarks about you and read carefully what I said. Because there are a ton of profiles on here with those words that I mentioned earlier.

Read the article and was glad to hear they did not mention the site. However if you google Pandora's Box swinging it will bring Fabswingers as it is affiliated by the site!!!

They did mention a cpls profile but did not advise where said profile was from.

I don't feel threatened at all but truth be known you have to get things right and you clearly misunderstood what I was saying by thinking I was referring to your profile when I made a statement. (who challenged me because I did not see a challenge I saw somebody getting details wrong that's not a challenge)

I am a very honest person, but I do not like misrepresentation. Lets leave that to the press to do on swingers as they have shown today

I think its terrible that adults can not have fun without being made to feel dirty.

I love swinging as it brings a little added extra to your relatioship and the sex is amazing after a meet for u and your partner.

People in ireland and the north are prudes when it comes to sex.

At leat with swinging you control who when and where you meet and if you play or dont play what about the people who go out every weekend and pick some1 up they dont know anything about them.

People will alays rubbish what they dont know or understand.

To reporters or whoever is on the site fuck off and leave us swingers alone, dont knock what you dont know we are consenting adults who know our own minds and enjoy what we do. Mrs M

It's the same old story when it comes to the local press and the scene, ridiculous hype and making everyone out to be perverts. I feel sorry for the owner of the place, this may hurt his business and family life. All he did was provide a safe, comfortable and private place for consenting adults to have fun and cook them a meal. I was staggered to see that this story got so many pages, more than a murder or rape would get. I have no doubt that if a dedicated night was organised they would ruin it. Let's face it things won't change, we are light years behind modern Europe. Society accepts paramilitary activity, drugs, rioting and all sorts but holy shit some adults wanting to have sex behind closed doors is the devils work.

You " challenged " her after reading her post wrong.

She tried to politely tell you.

You ignored it.

You have a habit of doing this , mostly in your previous names and why rows ensue.

You are most likely very right in that respect so in one way it may of helped one side of his life but not the other as he will feel that people are judging him. Now if he can hack it then no problems but if people start giving him a hard time then it may be a different matter.

I think a load of swingers should get together and go to his restaurant and show him some support.

Good for you anybody else?

If members of this site could arrange a group privatly it would be good as I think the press would be reading these forums as you don't have to be logged in to read them so would not want the press to know when you are going.
