For Aintree, whistle n flute. 100% I don't think you'd be over dressed in one, I'd fear you might be underdressed if you didn't.

Course walking
Don’t miss the opportunity to walk the famous course during your visit [subject to ground conditions]. Opening times
Open from 10am on each day of the meeting, get to Aintree early to make the most of your day and also to allow for racecourse security procedures.
Race times
Race times for The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival 2016 to be confirmed.
The going
Please visit TurfTrax to view the latest Going Reports at Aintree.
Dress code
Although there is no official dress code, smart is preferable and is often adopted. Aintree is a spectacle of colour for all three days of the festival, with many using their trip as an opportunity to showcase their favourite raceday outfits. Hats are optional too, but are frequently worn. Sports clothes and fancy dresses are not permitted for the Grand National meeting.

"Definitely a suit for Aintree. I know people that go the full hog every year with top hat and tails. You won't be overdressed in a suit that's for sure. " i know what u mean but I'm there for 3 days racing! I don't think I want to wear a suit everyday and I'm not bringing a suitcase just a carry on bag
