"Anyone had any?
I nearly drowned twice, nearly got hit by a wheel that came flying off a truck as it was going around a corner, got my leg squashed squashed underneath a tractor as it was about to drive off with me under it, nearly choked on vomit after a night out... "
A bit clumsy |

Twice,
At 17 stabbed and left for dead on the side of the road. Fade to black
And at 28 a cardioversion where the shock to start me up again didn't work as soon as it should have , and almost not at all. Also fade to black .
Maybe I'm a Cat with 9 lives!!!! Anyway
It Spurs a lot of great convos about what happens , I'm lucky ! I sure know that. |

Thought I lost my legs when a speeding sulkie (don't laugh) tried to get between my parked car and traffic. Horse fell against my car door trapping my legs in the door. I was trying to get out before it hit me |

I've never had one thank god but the i would say the closest I've been to dying was when I was 2 and decided to attack my grans sleeping pills which in my defence looked like smarties!! Obviously I don't remember it but was told I was out cold when found and like a rag doll! |

Only at the hands of the "health service", given morphine post-op which was totally contraindicated with other meds I was on - staff were panicking as my respiratory system started giving up, luckily Lee was on hand to suggest the obvious to the doc, who said "why, what's she on"
Never trust the "professionals" when your life is at stake |

"So true. Doctors differ. ... Glad you pulled through. "
It was sheer negligence, nothing to do with a difference of opinion, whoever prescribed the morphine never bothered to check my chart. |

I took a year out to travel, finishing off in Thailand. Took a ferry to Ko Chang (the remote one near Cambodia, not the big one near Ko Samui!). The ferry itself was a converted fishing boat with the outriggers still attached and two stories welded on top.
The journey out was amazing, three hours of sailing through an amazing archipelago on a calm blue sea.
Stayed on the island in a hut for a blissful week when the owner told us there was a storm coming and if we didn't get the ferry that day, we'd be stuck for a week! (I was flying home in a week!!)
The boat left just as the storm was whipping up. First half hour was fine but after ten minutes in unsheltered water I was willing the boat to turn back!
"El Capitane" looked no older than 19, there wasn't a boat anywhere else to be seen (there were lots on the trip out!), the Thai women started screaming their heads off, everybody was holding on the the metal rails for dear life and the deck chairs had all slid into the sea.
There was a crazy German man with a blonde mullet shouting at us that things were "fine" and egging El Capitane on! The boat kept going through a cycle of climbing a wave (I still remember the wheelhouse facing the sky then the sea) then falling, crashing into the next wave and swaying side to side before rising again.... And this lasted for seven hours... still gives me the shivers!! |
