Ah there's loads fighting..coverage starts at half ten I think..

The women's one will b good ..i think holms will get bet.

Mc Gregor will win but the two lads are so alike..both wind ups in the cage it will b a good fight.

I just love fight nights ..im like a child at Christmas.. Get the lads down, great atmosphere...

You can't judge him on what others do..he is his own man and has a built up his rep..

If u look tru all his fights he's the same throughout..

Alot of people judge McGregor on his past too.. It shouldn't be done..these two are romodels to people..

I for one admire the courage and strength and their mindset..

Would of loved to go into that profession..i use to box years ago (kickboxing champ) but women didn't get the same recognition as men ..its only now they are coming into their own .

I've been doing kick boxing on and off since i was about 14. This was his natural weight. No cutting means his body should have been at its strongest.

He was out skilled and his chin let him down. His fight plan made no sense at all, little or no kicking game tonight. set himself up for a fall. Ah well

Here's my 2 cents for all its worth, which is around 2cents, I wa s all for supporting your own and all that until I saw an interview with the 2 of them on some American business segment, and the way that McGregor disrespected him and spkoke to him like he was a piece of shit on his shoe, insulting his intelligence and being a cunt, it was like a school bully even the interviewer was joining in, it got to the point where he actually got up and left, I'm all for sportsmanship and all that but this was completely out of order, so I for one am delighted that he got beaten, maybe next time he'll show a bit more respect to who ever he's fighting....

A good sportsman is a good loser and McGregor is certainly showing the world he is. No excuses made just facts and acknowledging a stronger opponent beat him.

Nothing worse then the begrudgers saying 'i told you so'.

I think you might be missing the point, its not about begrudgers. He made jokes about him not being able to read, about his family being poor. he never had to go down that road to sell the fight. Serious lack of class and i would say the same of anyone who thinks that a part or it. I saw the quote "gracious in victory and gracious in defeat" all over his twitter and fb pages. Means nothing if you act like a moron when you are outside the ring. Its not sportsmanship. I love him as a fighter and i hope he settles at a weight that he can dominate but in this case you reap what you sow. You act like a fool and you will be made to look like a fool

Im not his greatest fan but look he raises the sports profile, hes a dream to market...yes he thrash talks but then again so did Ali...the game has changed now in UFC from when it first began...mcgregor went up alot of weight for this fight and was humble enough to admit he lost and deserved to lose.He will be back but his rep has been questioned now. Sport can be cruel but everyone tends to lose at some stage.Expect him to drop down the weight class and fight again with the same hype but perhaps a few question marks this time around.he pockets a cool 1 million from the fight before pay per view and sponsorship pays out so wonder hes still smiling.Like i say im not his number 1 fan at all but when an Irishguy does well in something then we be glad.Ive also heard hes a lovely guy outside the ring and the PR hype you see him put on.

I have only got to this reply n I love it thanks.

His pro fight interview he said it.. My punches weren't getting to him..blood everywhere n still going..its hard at this weight..

Diaz has been fighting at this weight for years..McGregor had what a couple of wks to train and fill out.. Do u know how hard that is..any other fighter wouldn't of done it..he gage it his best n he lost...but its q lesson learned..

Judges results show Gregor had won the 1st round and would of won 2nd in points but he was caught on submission and if u watch it he knew he was bet n tapped out after a minute..

Arrogance is part of the sport ..i know loads of UFC &MMA fighters .. But what gets to me is why the Irish aren't supporting their own.

Anyway he's still a champ and a good sportsman..

Diaz talked shit too now lets be fair.. Gregor came from nothing himself ..he got into this sport so he wouldn't follow in his peers footsteps of drugs and gangs.. He knows what struggle is.

He is a lovely genuine generous fella..his fight talk is his persona but out of the ring a different fella..

Ahh devastated he lost but he is still a champion I'm proud of him! And as for some of you saying stuff about him talking shit it's part of ufc like it is in boxing too any true ufc fan would know this go look at any ufc press conferences on YouTube plenty of fighters out there do the exact same to each other , you's all just think mcgregor is the only one because he is broadcast all over because he's the ufc money maker he's Irish and doing well for our country I don't see why any Irish person would not back him he's encourage plenty of young people who would probably be in trouble with the law drugs etc who are now trying to be mma fighters he's flying the flag for us

That moment you realise he's not an injured gazelle lol

Good to see McGregor eat some humble pie.

Diaz was definitely the better fighter, and on 10 days notice with very little training.

Interesting to see how McGregor acts before his next fight, hopefully he doesn't talk so much

Tough fight for him next time out too, gotta be Aldo or Edgar.
