How safe do you feel meeting a new person. Does being verified make any difference? I just read a news story about how a man was able to continue using his match.com profile even though women he had attacked had reported him to site admin. He has now been convicted of rape.

Story was in dailymail.co.uk.

Anyone can be a nutjob, regardless of where you met them. Use your judgement, don't ignore erratic, abusive or egotistical behaviour and be alert for inconsistencies in their story.

I've met plenty of people from the internet (including my long-term partner).

I suppose what really shocked me was even after 4 women had reported his behaviour to the site admin, they still refused to delete his profile. He then went onto attack more.

Only this morning I had yet another what I assume to be fake profile very quickly ask for face pics after sending theirs. On replying that i would never share with an unverified member they went quiet very quickly.

You really do have to be super safe on any site like fab. As said above its a good idea to tell someone where you are going even if it's a fellow fabber you trust. If you get a bad vibe then run for the hils

I wouldn't send any pics that include face and body. My face pics here are ones that I also have on FB so it doesn't bother me sending them. never had an issue of my pics being used (that I know of) but I wouldn't be happy about if they did. But still id never spend body pics with face in them. Ever.

Luckily I've only ever had to deal with a few dicks here. One in particular tried to blackmail me. I was like eh with what? He said I'll tell your hubby and I said work away. Sad people

Unfortunately that can happen anywhere. You have to trust your instincts and run if you get bad vibes.. Although sometimes you can be wrong. Weirdos in every walk of life.

Always go by your gut , I you feel something ain't right even though all appears fine , I'd run for the hills . Not worth a nasty or dangerous experience for the sake of sex !

No verifications don't save you, very true.

However.

I really hope that all ladies let someone know they are meeting with someone (social or meets), even if you have known them for sometime.

If you get that uneasy feeling then get out of there.

Please report to admin if you have problems on socials / meets, ok it won't help you on your last encounter but hopefully will end up in the person being removed from the site.

North Cork

I had two coffee meets this week. Some of the stories I heard upset me. Some people are just sad or maybe just nutcases...
