I find it strange that in Ireland, couples seem to pay more to attend parties than anyone else.
Most clubs and parties I've been to in Europe, single girls pay the lowest entrance fee/none at all, then couples and last but not least single men pay the most.
Like I mentioned in another post, we (the single males) will pay it, plus it helps out the time wasters
Pricing policy I personally would like to see
Single girls Free/25€
Couples. 40/50€
Single men. 70/90€

Thats called discrimination and tbh enough of that goes on this site anyway. A cpl is two people and a single guy or female is a person , why should single females not pay , this boils my blood when I see that, I was a single female before and would prefer to be treated equally not get free entry cause I have a golden pussy ( which I don't have lol )

clubs generally have a higher price for single guys to put off a mass influx of guys. if I was going to a private party and was asked to pay 90 euro and women where free and cpls paid half what I was required to pay id happily decline the invite its plain and simple exploitation. clubs are different than parties |

As a single female I would not expect to attend for free. I'd gladly pay to attend a party as long as it was the same amount for each individual. Therefore, imo if the entrance fee is 50 per couple, singles both male and female should be 25. |

But yet the party you're advertising has single men/women at €10 less than a couple?? Which technically means that each single is paying almost double each couple member.
Personally I think charging nothing for single women is ridiculous. That really is a way of getting things into people's heads about paying for the privilege of the single girls and/or assuming that we're there for their entertainment. I would like to point out I'm well aware that people who think this way is a minority but it's definitely present.
Apart from that I also think in general having a price per person is a lot more acceptable which means men, women and each member of a couple are charged equally. It baffles me why some parties and or socials singles pay double what a member of a couple does. I personally would just avoid these type of parties as the way each organiser charges for events is their own business. |

I don't have a problem with it as I'm not a single male and I wouldn't have a problem even if I was, but, yes there's a but, have travelled to a few other countries on swing holidays and females and couples are free entry but with a minimum spend of €20 at the bar, either on drink or on toys!
Single guys usually pay €20 with a minimum spend of €10 at the bar
Then once u spend your €20 on drink you get a happy hour of buy one get one free. So it all balances out pretty well money wise. |

Strangely enough I was walking past a gay couple here in Gran canaria and I had that thought!
I'd like to think they had the same rights as every other couple. It could be a bi couple but should pay the same fee as any couple going in, regardless if the are playing with women or guys. Male and female partners does not define the term couple.

Great to see the support for fairness from so many here. While I think we all appreciate that the single-male quote needs to be regulated at parties and clubs, pricing single guys out of the market is grossly inappropriate.
Perhaps an approach would be if girls encouraged their female cohorts to be more, adventurous ? Although, we hate the idea of talking someone into a lifestyle in which they really have no interest. So take careful steps if you chose to go that route. |
