never read or see sick jokes before? of course what he did was sick. But there are memes tweets of every sick thing that happens these days. There also used to be an annual doctors joke magazine of really twisted jokes, I doubt they meant it, its a mechanism for release of anger or other feelings |

Yes, the guy was an idiot, but it sounds a lot like she did most of the chasing (at least in the article I read)... initially, let's say.

Regardless of who made first contact,regardless of how old she looked...what he did is 100% wrong,it is NEVER acceptable for someone to do this...People today need to recheck themselves if they think sleeping with someone.of that age is acceptable...finding an excuse for it is just not good enough.He got what he deserved and hopefully will serve Jail time now. |

There is absolutely no spin or angle on this to make Johnson look anyway hard done by.
We were all horned up teens once, this girl idolized him. She waited at the Stadium for his autograph.
When he signed her shirt he asked for a kiss!!
They chatted on Facebook and exchanged pics on snap chat. He asked her was she 16 yet and told no.
AND the court heard how Johnson's phone history could tell police he looked up "legal age of consent".
He, like most sports stars are arrogant and overpaid and he took advantage of a young girl who thought he was the cats pyjamas!!

No sympathy at all for him though we do live in a society at the minute that some girls younger think it's quite cool to get pregnant and play mammy I think some underestimate the way some youngsters think. He knew what he was doing so he deserves to be sentenced. But I do think some girls of 15 are quite capable of playing lads older. |

The girl met the man of her own violation. Got into the car, recorded the meeting.
The day before her 16th birthday can meet someone and any sexual behaviour is illegal, but in the space of 24 hours it wouldnt be so. How can so much pivot on the date on a piece of paper?
In todays world, things have changed so much and other things need to be brought up to date.
Other cicumstances should be looked at.
Yes, he knew ultimatley it was wrong, but then so did she.
Some 15 year old girls are mature. I know what I did at 15. And it involved sex with boys older than me. One even in his early 20s.
My daughter who is now 23, had a sexual relationship with a boy older than her at 15.
He is not a peodophile and not a child-groomer. He is a silly man who made a catastrphic mistake and I hope at some point him and his family do get their lives back on track.

It is very clear and he will have known he was committing a crime and he was most certainly stupid. But to put a cut off for when someone is responsible or not is not ever going to be fair or accurate to either party. It is however, completely necessary.
I simultaneously believe the right thing has happened but I also feel for the guy. With the risks to young people of both sex from predators, there needs to be no loopholes which someone can get out of. Those who are not classed as a predator don't deserve the blanket treatment that is applied to an age limit.
But more importantly the way the law is applied must be upheld to protect the innocent and the vulnerable, not the foolish. He made his choice and this is the consequence. |

There is some load of comments online portraying the girl as no angel and saying am example was made of Johnson because of who he is. Wrong what he done I totally agree and I think and hope he knows it but I also would not portray every 15 yo girl as naive and innocent. I claim this particular girl knew exactly what she was doing but him been the adult should of stopped it.Now he has to enjoy jail! Good luck to him with that one |
