Car insurance for a male driver for 1l car so small enough car anyone got any good insurance companies that won't fleece me I'm on a learner permit thanks

You're looking at a few of grand minimum I'm afraid.

Male, provisional licence and (I assume) first time driver, that adds up to a whole lot of money.

Can you add him to an existing policy by any chance?

Good luck. Insurance shopping is a chore I despise

not at the moment but when his mother in law gets a full licence she said he can go on her policy

When they're kids though you can put them as a named driver on yours to save a few bob.

We got just for women ( so only for girls I suppose) they put in the box and was €1600 for a nineteen year old

Try the aa that's where my fella got his first insurance and it was reasonable considering he was 25 and only on a permit and he got a discount because he joined aa membership as well
