England were all over them from the off. They did amazing to keep themselves in the running for most of the game. But even when the breaks went their way they couldn't capitalise. As for our game my heart is in my mouth already |

Massive game today, and conditions will play a part. Worry about our pack, lot of big players missing. But should be a cracking game...looking forward to seeing Big Stander make his debut!
Ireland by 6.....hopefully! |

He's a great player, can see him and O'Brien line up next week against France. Explosive! Enjoy the game Bold...tried everything but couldn't get a ticket! |

"I didn't see that draw coming. Ireland were better than I expected, a good performance considering injuries but Payne at 15, McCloskey 12 and Henshaw 13 please.
"
Totally agree Zebo not international quality in my opinion. Total liability |

"I also thought McGrath and Ruddock were very good"
Nikki, having watched the game I think the only substantial improvement will be Kearney coming back at 15. Zebo just lacks that little bit extra at full back. Pack performed extremely well without O'Brien. |

"I've heard people saying here that welsh try shouldn't stand as the ball came out from the side and not through the 8 channel....is that correct"
No, as long as the ball is hooked back properly it doesn't matter...as long as players in the scrum don't handle it and it isn't kicked back out of the tunnel at the put in it's all good.... |

We have a panel delighted to see the team work as a unit bar the slight turn in the last ten mins of first half. Wales at full strength unable to breakdown the defence all good news going forward |

Stander was outstanding...what a player!
After the start Ireland had I was well happy! But Wales were great! Am just glad we weren't beaten.
An exciting game as always....good teams do that! Unlike the favourites! |

Pissed off with that ref the only thing he done a job on in the game was the scrum everything else he blatantly ignored, choke tackles, (until the last minute) players holding on to long, penalizing good tackles. Ignoring dangerous tackles from Wales.
I can only thank god we don't have him again.
By the way Johnny Sexton has huge fucking balls the guy is a legend clearly suffering when taking that kick at the end and he deserved that bit of luck when it sneaked over. Immense effort from Ireland. COYBIG. |

Both teams done really well us we had a shakeup first 20 mins Jamie Roberts outstanding think we should of waited a bit longer for priestlands drop goal attempt on the 2nd go. But all in all good to see both teams Ireland's my fave on 6 nations after us Welsh but 1 or both of us has to beat England now fukas can't win. Wales forever |

Not saying that France will be poor but they haven't shown any form for a couple of years. Prefer if they don't choose to do so today! |

"Balls to that then. Ran out of ideas and steam in the second half. Stander again was outstanding.
"
In fairness, I think you're wrong. We ran out of ideas after 30 minutes!
We lost the second half to
Italy world cup
France world cup
Argentina world cup
Wales 6 nations
France 6 nations
Glad we lost as it may actually allow Joe to take risks and pick McCloskey and Gilroy |

Refereeing decision cost Scotland at least a draw against Wales
Referring decision probably cost Scotland a win against Australia last year.
Refereeing decisions probably cost Ireland a win against France. Ireland didn't deserve to win anyway.
TMOS (and legislation) letting the game down. |

"If Ireland play, for the next 3 matches, as they did yesterday, I'm sad to say that we'll be bringing woodware home at the end. Italy and Scotland more positive; England would demolish us."
Regretfully I have to agree with you!.... Come on lads up your game

All set up for the decider next week for England vs Wales.
Though would be nice to pull off a shock result tomorrow. Glad to see Mc Closkey playing...been seriously impressed with him this season for Ulster. |

Would have loved to see Payne play full ball with them centres his running lines are unreal when he has space |

I'm actually excited by this Irish team this time. First time this year that I don't fear the worst!
In a way, thank God for Joe's hand being forced by injuries. I think we will struggle in scrum. |

The "kicking" incident will get looked at again but the better team won (and I say this as an Ireland fan of over 40 years). I think Ireland will benefit more from the match having eventually identified new talent. England will be all self congratulatory and forget their penalty count, yellow cards and unforced errors. Against a decent side they would have been destroyed. |

The newbies did good work. I like watching Ultan Dillane play, he's super. |

I agree. This year an emergent BOD wouldn't have been given a game until injury forced Joe's hand. |

Brown definitely has previous...just comes across as an awful gobshite.
Positives were Mc Closkey who I thought played well and Sexton. Had chances to make it a lot closer at the end, and would have been an interesting last 10 if Henshaw had grounded the ball.
Fully expect Wales to beat England, |

I was at the game and neither side impressed me. I saw Wales v Scotland, and I didn't think much of Wales either. Too close to call for the title , but it hasn't been a patch on last years tournament. |
