just wondering peoples views on blocking.today we were blocked a few times.twice were blocked for offering advice to gals who had statuses up on getin to much mail.just tryed to help.another lass in our area blocked us for sayin hi,FANCY A CHAT

so all ye single men yer not alone

basic manners is gone to total shit on fab.if a stranger said hello to me on street i wudnt not say hello back.basic human manners.

I'm really not trying to be smart or anything here but if someone wants to put up a status saying they've too many mails that's their business. And it's also their business what filters they've on as well. They could be keeping their options open but maybe just not interested in you?

On the uk side of the site the block button is used a lot by people who have been messaged by people they have no interest in meeting so they can't message them again somewhere down the line by mistake. I use it for this reason too.

I don't always have my mails replied to and I don't always reply to received mails either. Just because I send a mail it doesn't mean the person has to reply to it.

The OP isn't complaining that they didn't get a reply to a mail.

They simply messaged to help fix a problem the initial poster was complaining about.

This is not unwanted mail or unsolicited mail. If you publicly post about how much mail you have and how annoying it is (and btw this is nothing more than pathetic attention seeking and 9/10 it's divas who wouldn't get kicked in a stampede but that's another story) then your opening up for people to try offer to help fix your problem.

Takes 30 seconds to reply saying cheers.

So if you don't want someone offering to clean your clothes then don't post about your dirty laundry in public.

Simple as

So yeah it's very possible but they all know how to stop it.

Truth is, they don't get that sort of attention anywhere else and feed off it. Yet insist on telling everyone else about it while making it appear that it's such a hinderence to them lol.

It's a massive turn off so I guess I'm one less mail they'd ever have to complain about lmao

Two thoughts...

First...

Perhaps those you contacted did not like the content of your mails and simply blocked you to avoid any further contact?

This is entirely their choice as was your`s when you chose to send mails to them

Secondly.

I am not a huge fan of taking what goes on behind closed doors so to speak to the public forum , why? Very often the other party involved gets publicly slated by people here with no interest other than to stir the briwn stuff..

On the point of unwanted mails...

Everyday my postman delivers unwanted leaflets, my phone is bombarded with cold callers ..

The leaflets get looked at and if of no interest get fecked in the blue bin, cold callers? I hang up....

I rarely reply to mail from folks I'm not interested in - because that also has a bad habit of opening the floodgates for abusive and vitriolic mails from eejits who cannae take "Thanks, but No, thanks" for an answer! Far easier to note the contact, block the profile and move on to someone I may actually be interested in.

Perhaps those you contacted did not like the content of your mails and simply blocked you to avoid any further contact?
