Yes but it doesnt last long. Turning a new decade is tricky for a few days then u just get on with it. I wish I was was dreading the big 4-0 instead of struggling to remember it..-)

40 is not the big age it used to be , I turned 40 last year and didn't even bother to mark the occasion, your only as old as you feel

I didn't care, 30,40 or the 50 I will be this year. I really don't get why people get so bothered by ageing.

It didnt bother me but i felt different, wiser maybe... id had my children and had life experiences under my belt so to speak. You cant change turning 40 ,embrace it for what it is. The prime of your life is coming at you, enjoy it!

That's very true and very like myself, I have my kids and had the life experiences (some I could have done without ) but that's part and parcel of living isn't it I think it's just that I'm the baby of my family. And its time for me to really grow up now

Youll always be the baby of the family no matter what age you are thats another thing you cant change.

I felt i wasnt as stressed as i was in my 30s and im still in that mindset today, stupid things dont bother me anymore where it was probably a huge issue 10/15 years ago. Youll find youll mellow out a bit and relax more. kind of a been there/ done that attitude

It's not long until I turn myself but to be honest I'm quite looking forward to it. Life begins at 40, so is said and I aim to prove that statement correct. Loads of plans for the future! Embrace it. Make plans, make a list of things you want to do and make them happen.

I celebrated turning 40 by running a marathon for charity...got all my friends and family to sponsor me instead of presents and those who didn't know my request and gave me some presents I sold for the charity too. It felt a great way to "start life" at 40. I did the same when I turned 50 and god willing will do it again when I turn 60

Turning 40 for me was well I guess just another birthday. But last year I hit 45 and for other reasons it was I think the worst birthday of my life just terrible. So this year I will be 46 and I am hoping to make it one of the best with the help of some of the lovely people here

Its really mind over matter. .yep for me age never was an issue. .most times im not completely sure what age I am..my birthday falls on new years eve..so often had to think hard of how old I am..I think young. .feel young in you're mind. .woed of advice! !..when you turn 40..you're body ..unless you look after it will go south quickly. .you must work to keep in good shape..but its so worth it. .health is wealth
