1st of all hi to 1 and all. I'm far from a regular poster in here in fact think I've posted 1 thread in here. I can mainly be found most days in the lounge. I'm after some help from you all as I know nothing about your fair country. What it is is I'm a biker and I've been told by friends time and time again I should tour Ireland so well come the summer months I'm planning on doing just that. Yes I'm an English man but I have Irish and Scottish blood in me and have family that ive never met in Derry. What I want to know is where I should visit and don't necessarily mean in a swinging way. Obviously I plan on seeing my family but I don't know them so that's just a port of call along the way. so possibly a night maybe 2 with them then off on my way again but no idea where to go. I'm planning a 2 week jount. Obviously being a biker it's twisty open roads I'm primarily after but also need places to stay along my way but no I don't mean I'm after people to put me up. I mean decent b and bs to use on my way. As it's the depths of winter I'm very much in the planning stage so I'm after any advice you can give me primarily roads places to go and stay. I'm also no stranger to ringing my bikes neck and ride a blade so advice about your local constabulary ie do they dislike us bikers. basically any tips you can give me is greatly appreciated and don't presume I will no anything as I very much don't. Thanking you all in advance. I have no filters set so if you'd rather pm feel free Blade. Ps bg I'm a old fucker so can't pm you but would love to see you along my way x

Hope your trip is a blast! Look up the North West 200, Cork 20, Killarney BikeFest and rev up your engines, Gentlemen, please!

Plenty of bikers on Fab who will know more.

Great profile

Th'on place over yonder

It's easy enough to do a costal tour - land in Belfast and head north along the coast - google the Wild Atlantic Way, it will take you through derry so 2 birds, 1 stone plus it's an awesome, awesome route, so beautiful - in fact I urge everyone here to do it.....

HTH

If you have relations in Derry start off the weekend of the NW 200 it only 30 mins from Derry. Then cross into Donegal and follow the Wild Atlantic Way over 2000km the whole way too Cork. Great way too see the beauty and plenty twisty roads

As most people have said, the wild Atlantic way is well worth your time. Fabulous cliffs, beautiful scenery and lots of fantastic beaches. There are also lots of places to stay in those scenic areas, and lots of other things to pass your time when you get off your bike. Great restaurants and pubs, fishing, dolphin watching, boat trips, kayaking, diving......the list is almost endless. Enjoy your trip, however you choose to spend it

Maybe in the north there's some no go areas, I'm guessing most of these are inner city places which you won't be near anyway. Maybe leave the England jersey at home, that's a magnet for idiots, Manchester jersey is fine, once it's red
