What happens when you appoint a former player with no coaching experience to be a head coach. Anthony Foley, Leo Cullen, Martin Johnson.....

I would take hard to watch.... This has become embarrassing - plain and simple. The one mighty Munster reduced to also rans. Problem is we have two, maybe three genuine international level players. Combine that with a coach who is devoid of any original ideas and not cut out for the job, a real lack of funding to entice any top players to us........ We are on a downward spiral that t cannot see being arrested any time soon. My heart bleeds for them.

A coach who signed another years contract mid December, unfortunately.

Yeah that is because both Munster and the IRFU have no money. They can't afford an over seas coach either!!! Hoping that Foley will come good.....

Are u an exiled Munster girl? Yeah there's a lot wrong with Munster rugby at the moment, French clubs have more money and the provinces can't compete at that level without similar money coming in, the golden generation of players aren't there anymore

Whole Munster set up is poor at the moment. Would be slow to slate Foley because of what he achieved as a player.

But the performances have been sun standard. And not forgetting the leaked email incident last season. He slated a lot of players in that

Has he lost the dressing room? If so,time to go Axel

True Foley was a brilliant player, indeed a team player if ever there was one . But a coach Im sorry to say No.He made the jump from player to top flight coach to fast , its happening a lot these days too much. He also betrayed his players by subliminally blaming them for defeats in the media and elsewhere. He lost the dressing room as a result. On the field of play he would back up his fellow players as if his life and theirs depended on it , that character trait/ sentiment didn't follow on with him into his first outing as a manager. The media tricked him into blaming his players, he was too new, too green, too much self belief laden. He thought he could approach coaching/managing in the same fashion as playing ,simply head down arse up , bull on , not so the two animals are completely different. He attempted to deflect the blame away from him self and was unwilling to share the blame , instead of holding his hand up and taking some direct personal flak, and being brutally honest at the same time , had he done that he would have come out of this mess in a lot better shape .I feel for him as I am a munster supporter and a good few years ago I played alongside some of his munster and Ireland teammates. Watch O Gara move at a slower pace towards top flight management. Indeed watch that space , a future munster manager, if not Ireland.Better luck next time Antony and next time fuck the media , feeding them fucks with what they want to hear to youre own detriment and demise. Come on MUNSTER. up MUNSTER

I don't think the players are the problem. I think it's the guidance and management they have tbh.

Just my opinion.

The players are awful too though...

Zebo is a stone heavier than any other back in the competition. Keatley cant restart, find touch or kick goals... How can a 10 not be able to do any of those things?

Midleton

Sad times really and its hard to see a way out in the near future. Its heartbreaking to go to Thomond and find it half empty.

In my mind the jury has been out on Zebo for some time and I just feel embarrassed for Keatley.

Guess we'll just have to wait for Paulie to come back as coach and Rog as kicking coach!

There needs to be a whole root and branch review done of Munster from the CEO to the management team, clearly they took the good times for granted and didn't put in place a proper academy at the time and now we are playing catch up with the other provinces. It's also a joke that it took so many years to sort out the training situation which will take effect next season! Where else in a professional sporting organisation would a team have to be split in two between two cities during a training week. It's a testament to the strength of the team of 06 and 08 that they were able to win the European Cup with this going on!

Im afraid bold girl I have to disagree with you ,The players in general arnt good enough sadly to say . keatly is clearly one such player, and he did get his chance , in general pound for pound most of the forwards if not all are light weights compared to the stalwards of recent times gone bye.Could any of the current props trouble the claw for his position, even BJ botha and he has a world cup medal and he wouldn't stand a pups chance against the claw.would any of the incalcubal hookers match Frankie Sheehan for the hooking duties never mind loose play, if any of them make contact during a game their in an ambulance headed for the mercy hospital, paulie and donnacha would any of the second rows be fit to lace there boots even O Driscoll (mick) would get his place on this team.back rows too numerous to mention, galwey, foley, quinlan, halvey and the rest. none absolutely none of the current crop would be allowed to speak to those afore mentioned players never mind play alongside them on the same team .The current team are nothing more than tackle bag men at training.Do I have to mention ROG and terrier (stringer)Im stopping there I feel I shoulnt have to into the backs to fully drive this home do I ? sorry bold girl they aint good enough, previous players have proven that they are not.

Munsters woes seem to be getting worse as the appointment of Andy Farrell as a defence coach sickens me . Andy Farrell is steeped in rugby league and is a total mercenary, he has only been recently ejected out of the English set up.Not for his excellence Im sure .Despite is surname he has no ties with this country or indeed Munster. He is a blood sucker who will have to be paid big wages ,to fly him over and back to the north of England,to support his rockstar life style to tell us how to tackle.Id rather give the coach of skibbereens 2nds go.Munster are putting fingers in the dyke by this action.Root and branch review needed , a clear out right to the top .Appointment of Farrell is giving the game away with regards the higher echelons of Munster rugby, OHHHH lets hire a top English defence coach , that should do it, (keep the baying mob in Limerick at bay)the munster supporters whom want regime change.Any Munster fan will see through this most recent act of shit
