Maybe I'm just getting old and cranky but I'm really disappointed in this one. Production values are crap. OK the costumes are good but the cgi is awful and the action scenes are dreadful 3 looters!? I rest my case Waste of great actors

Loved it. But, I think they were trying to show the feeling that not everyone wanted it when it happened and that definitely comes across. Will rewatch it tomorrow

Have only watched first part yet but a few people are complaining that the people are too pristine for Dublin in that era

Yeah they are showing many perspectives and opinions. I'm going to rewatch it too. Hard to tell such a complicated story on a limited budget but it's an entertaining and decent effort so far

I'd call 8 million quite a decent budget

I'd have to agree...

Not to show the squalor and poverty in which most people lived at the time ( some of the worst slums in the world at that time) which more then likely triggered the ordinery folk to join the dreamers & poets whom orchestrated this event..and that the troops used by the British at the time were a mixture of criminals and those unfit for trench warfare...is remiss. ..

It's all to clean...

A wasted chance to show the world what great programs we can make with tax payers money...
