I watched the first three and just Google the rest if it to see what happened, the main problem I found is that you only see his side if the story and yes he was wrongly done before but as regards the second crime I reckon after researching it he could be guilt, like most documentaries you only see one side to the story but then again I suppose this is what sells and makes for gripping viewing but all in all i don't think it's as clear cut as the documentary makes it our to be |

"I would like to know in end of Everyone watch it if u think they were innocent or not "
We binge watched it last week. We're both not a 100% convinced he is innocent. I think we both want him to be though. It is indisputable that evidence was planted in our opinion and that the whole thing was corrupt to the core. That doesn't guarantee his innocence though I suppose. Unless someone admits to it, we'll never know for sure what happened I guess. |

Oh and regarding Brendan, don't think he was involved at all. Poor fella just didn't understand the gravity of the situation at all and just said what he thought they wanted him to say. |

It's a fascinating series, well worth watching.
Understandably it only shows his side of both cases yet some of the most corrupt police/judicial examples I've seen where he was fighting against a system that is so set against the him. The land of the free and the brave my hole.
As for the young guy Brendan it's tragic how he was treated.
As for no spoilers....the cat can lick his own ears but once only!!! |

Brendan was treated very bad but i think he was ok to go along with it as he was young at the time and actually thought it was "cool" at the time to say "hey yeah i was invloved" hes mentally slow / retarded. i still dont think either were involved though, but saying that it would be mad to think the cops killed her and blame Avery. I think his other nephews / cousins that were there that night may have someting todo with it |

It's definitely worth persevering Elfie; without alluding to the innocence or guilt of Stephen Avery, it's very much an indictment on the American judicial system, especially the system of elected judges and state prosecutors. This was the biggest case of their elected term and it clearly affected their performance.
The difference in the ability and passion of the privately-funded defence lawyers and the state-appointed one was galling by the end, shocking really.

Watched the whole lot in 2 days. Found it fascinating. Considering the story is only something you can imagine in Hollywood you have to remember that it's real life and happened to a person. As with everything it's one side and has to be taken with a massive pinch of salt but well worth the watch |

The dramatisations are cringetastic and all heavily swayed towards one angle. It's an ok show, I'm not one for getting swept away in the popularity of it all.
It's essentially like all the who done it, missing type docs on truecrime or fbi channels with a bigger budget. |

This is exactly what I think too...
In any walk of life it's obvious that Brendan is very slow, god love him my 6 yr old niece has more savi than him...shed admit to anything to see her momma ffs. ..
It's horrific what's happened to him...
I do believe an Avery murdered Theresa but I doubt we'll ever know.... |

I think the Avery family are just trailer trash to these police officers and to the state in fact...
They are forgotten about and if they were well spoken and wised up individuals none of them would be in prison right now...
There's not one piece of DNA evidence against either Steven or Brendan I mean it's ludicrous!! |

Not a hope in hell they would get away with that in any other country !!
Your dead right there social class is the only reason they've been put in jail , anybody that can find brendan guilty of anything aftet watching those interviews would want to have there head checked .. |

Brilliant show.
Personally i think he is innocent.
Why would a man that's about to get millions of dollers from the state risk killing someone?
What was his motive?
Don't want to say anymore in case i spoil it for anyone still watching but that's a mess. The federal courts don't want to touch it, why? Because if they do then they will be bombarded with wrongful imprisonment cases and the whole system will be seen as a joke. |

Looks like the online community found evidence that the defending lawyers missed. In the picture of Teresa halbach she has a keychain full of keys yet the police only found one car key (funnily enough in plain sight after the umpteenth search ) |

Personally I think he Steven done it but I think the cops planted the key, the blood and the interviews were shocking.... Ironically all in an effort to try strengthen their case.
Brandon is a total fantasist with clear learning difficulties it's totally apparent that he didn't do it! |

This documentary tells you a lot about the justice system in america country and how people lack common sense.
With what was presented by the prosecution, how could they come to a conclusion that without reasonable doubt that both Avery and Dassey killed that woman?
And maybe it was how the doc was edited, but why wasn't the fact that Theresa's DNA wasn't found anywhere on the key mentioned in the Avery trial? That was a big piece of information that coincided with the notion that whoever put the key in his trailer had wiped that shyt down and put Steven's DNA on it. Again', it might have been brought up, but I was surprised I didn't see it in the documentary.
I had wishful thinking that Brenden would get off, but he was fukked for just confessing to that crime. Those investigators are bogus as hell for that. Dude was 16 years old and slow. Asking about if he'll be going back to school cause he had a project or something due when he just confessed to murder and rape. He's on the phone mad that he'll miss Wrestlemania...there's no way he did any of that... the people that did him in are straight up evil.
But again, the american justice system "got the bad guys" and all is right in that town.
Just shows you, when you go against that Blue Shield, the powers that be will do whatever in their power to uphold an image.

It's a great story. Poorly made with a very slanted view, not objective at all.
Also it's out months so if you haven't seen it don't click on a thread about it, no spoilers I hate that garbage.
And everyone thinks he's innocent lol lol, speculation on nothing, always the hallmark of intelligence. If you like murder docs, watch the jinx made by hbo it's not as interesting a story though it's close, but it's better all round. Enjoy |

If u bothered to read the first post then you'll notice it was posted 3 weeks ago! Making a murderer was only released on the 18th December and not months ago as you think!
Also, I wasn't asking people not to post spoilers, more that there was no spoilers posted in the original posting! Until the evidence is stronger of his guilt than it it of his innocence then I think he's innocent.
Nothing to do with intelligence just my opinion |

I've got into this late .. And just finished episode three, and am completely gob smacked at the complete incompetence of the police, and their zeal to take Avery down
There wasn't a shred if dna in that bedroom what so ever.
Having some forensic knowledge I know that there'd have been at least some dna etc. from Theresa in that room, if she'd been there |

Delighted it was overturned, everything he said was clearly dictated by the police and he was completely clueless. The second season should be an interesting watch. |
