What's it like to be a single lady on this site

Obviously this site has a gender imbalance of single men to single women with men obviously serious outnumbering the ladies. I've got a flavour of some of the messages the ladies receive from speaking to some of them and to be honest i think a lot of men here ruin the site for other men with some of the crap the talk... Just want the ladies perspectives... |

This is the main reason I don't meet anymore, some women on here do get some terrible messages and it does put you off meeting, you can brush off a couple of bad messages, but it wears thin after that once you go into double figures.
There are some really very lovely guys on here and it's a pity things are spoilt for them by the ones that have to be rude and may i say it nasty at times in replies to the ladies, just because they might send a polite no thank you if they are not interested there's no need for it |

I was at a social meet recently and a lady showed me her Fab account and to be honest when i saw the numbers of messages she received in a short period of time and the content of a random few she opened i thought to myself... If i were in your shoes i'd delete my account... |

Us poor guys need a nice guy button  so that we have some hope of the cream rising to the top if the guy is "sound" to use cork/Irish slang he'd get a sticker or something to say to other people he's sound..... End of daft idea |

I have found the only way I can cope is to block all messages and find guys myself via chatroom etc. I enjoy fab now, in the past I deleted two profiles in rage at the amount of idiot mail. I would highly recommend this approach. But then of course you can't moan about all the mails you get or put up a 'mass delete of mails' status, so people could not see how popular you are.  |

I'm sick and tired of hearing that rubbish that some foul nuts spoil it for the genuine ones.
Give us ladies some credit that we can spot the messers and ignorants but also recognise the swinging gentlemen.
I've made the experience that the use of my brain, gut feeling, filters, courtesy and standards on my side as well as some humor go a long way here. I'm not swamped with message, don't get abuse and fab works very well for me.

It's good being a single female online anywhere, and in life in general.
First time i went online looking for sex though i also deleted my account (was deleted the same day haha, i was overwhelmed and it wasn't on here), but i came back within a few days and put up with the struggle lol. Is well worth it.
Someone else introduced me to Fab, i love the forums. Love how most guys are respectful to me, love how i get what i want on here and am enjoying myself a little too much maybe.
Yeah we whinge about some stuff, but overall it's worth it. And the decent guys stand well out above the few crappy ones. |

It's actually a lot of hard work. Trying to find people you'd like to meet up with then deleting mails and blocking people. But so worth it with you find s good guy |

I'm not new to fab myself.
Im on and off over the years.
I USED to feel bit bad for them when I saw the sheer volume of mails and the amount of mental cases here.
But nowadays I think 'cry me a river'
If you don't want that much unwanted mail then tighten the hell out of your filters or block males and pick and choose at your leisure.
Because let's be honest.
Women here are simply shooting fish in a barrel.
They don't need to be getting mails like they do.
So at risk of abuse, the ones complaining typically have zero filters up and are openly inviting this sort of volume and type of messages.
And then as pointed out, always feel the need to tell the fab world how awful it is being so popular.
I wanna see how popular in the real world these people are. Because when you hear them go on, it must mean they all need close personal protection staff should they ever enter a pub or club  |

Nope im not a seeker.. ill either answer a message or i dont and thats not arrogance..its usually too young..cock pics that i dont want or i dont find their pics or profile attractive. What i find attractive ,other ladies may not. Theres loads of great guys on here that ive not met and if i do meet them and i dont want sex,that doesnt mean i dont like them. But as _lfie said, block all mail,
If you want to mail somebody on the regular then as friends the filters are null and voided,
I will admit that I laugh at some ladies profiles when I see some of the statuses, there's quite a few that think they are gods gift to this website when in actual fact they don't contribute at all,
I can safely say that any messages I've sent to any lady on here has been very much above board, if I've mailed/winked once and don't get a reply, I don't go chasing,

Ive bulk deleted before too and its no insult to any guy if ive not replied. Im speaking for myself here when i say if i dont answer im not interested at this moment in time. I dont block guys unless theyre rude and offensive ,regardless of the profile pics. Its a feast for the fab women and a famine for the fab guys

I fail to understand how any man could ruin the site for other men. You market yourself on fab by having an informative and interesting profile . What other men do has no impact on what you achieve .

The imbalance in numbers between women and men has a number of undesirable side effects . Just to give you an idea on the scale of the imbalance I just searched there ,women that have a meet verification ie real women just 187 in total where on line in Ireland in the last week . With the small number of women on here their egos get a serious boost and we see status updates like "oops just deleted 200 mails " on a regular basis . The answer I think is that single guys should lose the ability to initiate contact with women & couples . If a women or a couple mails them yes they can answer it but they would lose the ability to send the first mail . This would have a number of benefits lads would put some serious effort into their profiles , women's egos would be deflated and they would have to do a bit work ie search and read profiles after all this is something the girls are always advocating anyway (read the profile ) lol |

No he's definitely right there.
Why have meet '18-99' on your profile if you really won't meet a certain age group and also have to delete messages just to keep up with volumes?
We're all humans here and can't help but have feelings of rejection sometimes.
I won't deny I have a little flutter in my tummy when I see that message box highlighted too. |
