Ideally a message, and as someone else said, with more than one word or sentence. Messages most likely to be read are messages that read like an approach in a vanilla situation.
Like many it seems,we don't take any notice of winks either, or friends requests unless we have chatted with the sender or have met them. |

If I'm not sure I will wink but If I know I want that person I will mail them
