So a friend of mine works for this forever living thing that everyone seems to be working for at the mo! I had been toying with the idea of doing the 9 day cleanse for a while, read great reviews etc, but don't know anyone (bar her) that's done it and as she sells it course it's gonna be "amazing" she has 30% off this wkend so I see it as a sign and am gonna try it
So it's a 9 day detox and cleanse and as a result de bloat and shed afew lbs.
Anyone done anything like this or this one specifically?
I know this isn't a diet and I'm not necessarily trying to loose weight, so please no preaching about diet and exercise, I go to the gym three times a wk, this is purely about a detox |

Personally I think there are much healthier and cheaper ways to do this. 9 days is a long time. The aloe is hard to get down. I know a lot of people who have braved through this detox but the benefits are quickly lost the minute you start eating again. You're better off detoxing with whole foods and or juices. The whole aloe thing is a gimmick imo. I do like their toothpaste though. |

Hey lolli,I did the c9 a few weeks ago.it's tough for the first two or three days but I did find it good.I lost a few pounds and definitely felt less bloated.the one thing I will say is to drink the aloe gel through a straw in one go,it's not the greatest tasting thing in the world! All the best if you decide to do it |

See this is where I struggle in my head, if I'm gonna fork out €105 for essentially a wks worth of supplements and drinks/shakes, should I just buy a load of fish and salad and eat that instead lol |

If you drinking at least 2 litres water a day
Veg and fruit everyday then really no need!
They just sell it on the basis all your organ will somehow regenerate in just 9 days.body doesn't work that way. You lose weight on them just because you are at a calorie deficit
Cheaper version would just be drink warm water 500ml with lemon and follow the rest. And stay with your training
If it's bloating issue just look at your foods that causing it like bread, dairy or Lactose. Or look at Probiotics to help gut health
So save your money

The detox and cleanse only does exactly that there's a weight loss but unless you follow up you'll put it back on. The Aloe Vera juice is brilliant but disgusting theres a peach one but still vile. You would get the same results with a good tonic and organic fruit n veg and water for a week |

Honestly spend your money on real food and save yourself gagging on aloe gloop. Spinach, ginger, limes, cucumber etc etc. And you can get detox support supplements in the shops. Drink loads of water. Like gallons. Dont eat sugar or carbs. You can do it yourself. I think its a rip off! |

Hair and nails grow very slowly, no way are you going to see a difference after 9 days of diet change. |

Personally if I was you I would do a bit of research into a natural body detox and buy d individual ingredients myself. Forever living is a brand and a product dat is as strongly promoted like this is going to be "good". If u want to pay over d odds because it's in a nice box go for it but I think u would be much better off keeping your money & doing d research |

The words "carb free" scares the life out of me, your allowed a 600kcal dinner on the cleanse, I assume that would be from a specific list of foods?
Some good tips here, still unsure as to weather I'll do it or not, I tried the lemon in water in the mornings but didn't see it make any difference at all!
With any of these things, the weight you loose will of course go straight back on, but it's not really for weight loss, I'm just interested to do a detox to see how it would feel! |

One of the girls in work sells these products (hard to get her to do her own job)
She's even worn everyone down listening about it, but some tried it out...
(Being a friend and all that),
But the outcome was for what it does it's VERY expensive, and although there were some benefits, they were short lived and all said they'd never do it again....
Eat healthily and exercise was the best conclusion, and far cheaper

Im not clear on what youre allowed for your dinner but id imagine carbs, sugar, caffeine all off the list for the detox. Honestly if you want to just try it go for it but I think youre better off trying to do it yourself at home. And developing better eating habits in general over a longer period of time. Best of luck whatever you decide. |

Carb free is scary and dangerous
600cal plus a juice is crazy
Women are designed to consume around 2000cal a day and if you training. You need all the energy you can get.
No lecture here but to feel better check the major things before these detoxs or supplements
Foundation
1. Water
2. Sleep 8hours minimum
3. Enough veg and protein at every meal
4. Lifestyle
5. Training
If these aren't right then other stuff isn't gonna matter.
I've seen enough clients go through same issues and once you get your foundation in order then everything will fall in place trust me. Then look at other option to tweak things like supplements and vitamins
Sorry sounds like a rant but don't want you to waste your money. Detoxs are same as slim fast or weight watchers don't have any long term fixes |

Treat yourself to colonic irrigation Lols.... brilliant for detox to kick start the system again. Dont listen to the horror stories surrounding this... its painless and instant ....ye leave with a really nice feeling of well being, bloatedness gone and feeling "lighter" and thinner too. Saves wasting money on 9 day detox plans or torturing yourself. Its all done through hydro therapy so theres no chemicals or pill popping involved. |

Detox diets are a scam and any GP or dietitian (not a nutritionist; they are not regulated or qualified as medical trades go) will tell you that nobody needs detox unless you have experienced substance or alcohol or drug abuse or if you have a malfunctioning liver and/or kidneys. Eating healthier on the other hand, well it will do you far more good than a plan.
The likes of Forever Living, well it and similar are little more than pyramid schemes selling snake oil and overpriced cosmetics. For what you will pay them for this detox plan you can just as easily follow the same programme just without their dodgy sachets of muck, for all the use they are.
You will find that you may lose a little weight but this is down to yo yo dieting and starvation and you will put it on agin in no time. Ditto for skipping meals or slimming pills or fad diet plans; they all let you down within a week or two.

I think it claims to be a 9 day detox..?
Our liver & kidneys do that job for us day in day out..
Your calorie restriction will be very low also I'd imagine with high protein drinks.
Save yourself the money...and it's a lot of money..
Eat clean... get your cardio & resistance training in..get more help from the guys at the gym.. that's what they're trained to do!

Well I've cancelled the order, feel bad but as pointed out above its just a gimmick and will try more water and better eating. The €100 for 9 days of shakes etc costs the same as two months gym membership in my local so I'll buy that instead! |

It's more the detox then weight loss I was looking for, I done slimming world afew years back and thought it was great! The few lbs you would loose on these kinds of cleanses only pile back on and bring their friends along once you start eating properly again gonna look into the juices and shakes that you have in the morning. I don't think I could go a whole day without real food! |

DID electric have the nutri ninja on sale for €119
Better to buy that than waste your money on the forever living crap. Honestly just do a detox yourself, wholefood, reduce sugar and alcohol, weigh and measure yourself before and after.
Min 3L of water a day.. Herbal teas.. No coffee.
Btw it takes 3-4 months for nails to grow from the bed to the tip, 9 days are not going to make much difference to them,,get a shellac.. Covers a multitude!
Good luck with it, carb reduction can be difficult at the start, give yourself 2 weeks! |

Yes exactly. Well if it's just for cleaning I'd definitely recommend cutting down on carbs and no fizzy drinks. I love both my smoothie maker and juicer. Wouldn't be bothered with the expensive ones though. All do the same thing |

I still cant understand how people convince themselves that all this weight loss is fat.. People harp on about 6-10lbs in the first week and how amazing it is...
1lb fat has a calorific equivalent of 3500cals...
Anyone who thinks theyve expended the equivalent of 21,000+ cals in a week needs a head check!
