The discussion on the aaannnndddd now thread got me thinking. What's your favourite time of year? Tomcat love autumn especially when the leaves are falling and its a darker in the evening. You cuddle up on the sofa in front of a nice fire with the person you love. Kitty loves summer because of the hot weather and no need for layers of clothes. |

Spring time for me. Crisp mornings, evenings getting longer, grass starting to grow. Anticipation of a summer that will be typically Irish; crap.
The winter dying away and life on the planet kicking off again. Like wiping the slate clean. |

I used to love the snowy, freezing cold winters back at home, where the harsh wind would sting your face but you come into a warm house after a walk.. Cup of tea.. Mmmh bliss
Here in Ireland I love the autumn, with its changing colours, the warm but strong winds, the evenings in front of the first fires of the year... |

Spring for us, start of new life, baby lambs, drop calfs, birds busy looking fuck buddy's, seeds been sown and seedlings been pricked out. Hens starting to clock their first batch of eggs for Easter. Hedges starting to green up. What isn't there to love when living in the country. |

Some people would love to live in a warm climate, not me, I love having seasons. "

I am a bit different in my thoughts of my favourite time of the year. Although as a keen amateur poet all the above have significance to me.
However my favourite times of the year is the second two weeks in September and middle two weeks in January.
Both because all the rushing is over to get kids back to school and sorted for christmas. Life naturally slows down and i relish in the calmness and respite they provide me. |
