The marriage bill was signed in to law this eve....it means our marriage in New York a month is officially recognised in Ireland from this eve...feck wished they'd given some notice could have organised a party!!! You know the gays( bi in our case) love a party... |

Does that mean when we go to NI we're not married under the law of ???...what a fecked up Isle we still live in. |

Sadly yes.
N Ireland is the only part of the UK that does not permit same sex marriage.
You could hold be married in London but not be recognised in N Ireland.
Think of it this way, say you two guys got married , one of you lives in Louth , the other in Armagh.
You get married in Dublin, then move North, only one would be recognised as being officaly married. |
